“Yes,” she interrupted, “you don"t have to explain.” All of the tension left his shoulders almost at once. He leaned into her, breathing her in and kissing her softly at first, then with more intensity. His hands couldn"t decide where to rest. He traced her jawline with his thumb and made his way to her waist, tickling her sides as he went along. The feeling of her squirming and trying not to giggle made him wish they were actually alone rather than in a parking lot. He resigned himself to the fact that they were, in fact, in public, and that it would probably be a good idea to eat at some point. “Thank you,” he said quietly after pressing his lips against hers again, his seriousness dissipating some. “For?” “I just needed that.” A small smile returned to his face. “But we can eat now.
