Courtney hastily put on the first pajamas she saw when she got in her room and threw back the covers. Just as she was getting comfy, she heard the buzz on her nightstand. Ugh. I want sleep. She picked it up and saw Ethan"s picture. Immediately, she sat up in bed as her heart started thumping in her chest. She answered it and tried to sound calm.
Ugh. I want sleep.“Ethan?”
“Heyyyy babe,” he answered. He was drunk. Her mind raced.
“Listen, if you need a ride or something, I can call-”
“Shhhhhhh, no. I don"t need a ride. I need you. I"m so stupid Court-nee. You"re my bear claw, you know? Just shhh. Just listen to me.”
