Feeling cautiously optimistic, he dressed with a purpose that morning: a loose gray beanie, his favorite dark jeans, and a white t-shirt with a charcoal striped sweater. He wished he were only concerned about taking a decent ID picture and maybe picking up on some cute freshman girls at his orientation, but the closer the date had come, the more incensed he became with seeing her and getting a shot at redemption. He headed out much earlier than was necessary, stopping only to pour himself a cup of coffee for the road.
