"Don't get up yet, the healer asked you to stay lying down." someone said softly to him.

"I'll die if I just keep lying down." Rio sat up. His head and stomach hurt like crazy.

"Rio, do you remember me?" Asked the woman hesitantly.

Rio looked at the woman, there was sadness and worry on her face as she looked at him now. "Eumm... You're..., Mei Ying. My sister, right?" replied Rio hesitantly. He didn't want to make her sad, but he still didn't understand the situation.

The woman immediately threw herself into Rio's tight yet soft and warm embrace.

"It's okay, I'm sure you'll remember me soon. Don't push yourself too hard." she said in a very gentle tone.

Rio let out his breath. It wasn't a dream, he was really alive. But this time in a different body.

"I understand, I will be right there." The soldier nodded in understanding and left.

Mei Ying turned her face to Rio, gently rubbing her little brother's head.

"I'll go first, don't forget to eat the porridge. Then-"

"I understand. Just go. Umm...That guy might get angry if you keep him waiting." Rio gently interrupted.

Mei Ying looked at her younger brother for a while and then left him alone.

Rio exhaled softly as soon as his sister left, he took off his shirt and looked at his bandaged stomach.

He didn't remember what happened to him at that time, the last thing he remembered was that he visited a place.

Rio lay back down, put his arm over his forehead and stared at the ceiling of his room. He closed his eyes, trying to remember who had attacked him then and what had happened to him now.

Rio muttered, he sat back down on the bed, picked up the bowl of porridge and quickly devoured it.

The door to Rio's room suddenly opened, a beautiful woman with a radiant aura of love made the woman even more enchanting.

Rio straightened up and looked at the woman in confusion. "Who are you?" Rio asked.

The woman gasped at getting such a question from her son. It seemed like Mei Ying's words that Rio was experiencing memory loss were true.

The woman walked closer to Rio, she stroked her son's cheek gently.

"Have you forgotten your mother?" She asked with a sad tone and look on her face.

Mom?!

"Eum... Sorry... I... Really don't remember. But I think I'll remember soon."

The woman's hand stroked Rio's hair affectionately, "You don't have to force yourself. Just remember slowly."

Rio nodded, in his life as Eur Yi, he had not felt this kind of affection for a long time. As long as he lived, he only had to think about how to live the best life possible.

"I'm glad you came." Rio said softly.

The woman smiled gently, sitting next to her youngest son.

"Of course I came, don't you know how worried I was when I heard that someone attacked you."

"Sorry...."

The woman smiled, stroking Rio's hair. "Never mind. Is your wound alright?"

Rio nodded, "The healer has checked me. I just need to rest."

"Thankfully-" the woman coughed.

"Mom!" Rio called out worriedly.

Rio's mother smiled weakly. "Mom, it's okay. Since I've seen you, I'd better go back before your father sees me." She said with a wink.

With the help of her servant, she left Rio's room. Rio stared at her departure anxiously. It seemed like the woman had a severe illness.

"Why did Your Majesty summon me?" Rio asked without preamble. During his recovery, he knew that his father disliked Rio, so he decided not to deal with him.

"In two days you will start practicing swordplay. It's also time for you to learn about the kingdom since you will inherit my throne next."

"I understand." She replied without further ado.

Since his father had nothing more to say, Rio slowly left the room. He did not want to linger in the same room with his father who was a king.

"Rio!"

Rio looked back when he heard his name being called. Mei Ying walked quickly towards Rio with a big smile on her face.

Her older sister never failed to smile when she met her favorite sister.

"Did you just get called dad?" She asked while walking hand in hand with Rio.

Rio nodded his head. "Father asked me to practice swordplay. He wants me to start learning right away so I can become his heir." I replied flatly.

During his life as Rio, Eur Yi sometimes saw a piece of Rio's memories before he entered this body. This young man was very strict and cold.
