He watched her quietly, he watched her crumble to her knees resignedly, and it was only then that hr understood truly how broken she was. Something about seeing her ad she was at the moment flicked on something within him, something he couldn't quite understand. Yes it was normal for him to try to fix broken people; mend them in whatever way hr could, it was what landed him in the medical field. However, along the line he had derailed from that path, he had learned that not everyone who was broken needed to be fixed. But here and now he knew that she needed fixing, and he would do all he could to see that she was fixed. And all of a sudden he had developed a sense of responsibility towards her, a sense of protectiveness. And so he walked up to her and lowered himself so he was squatting
