She knew when she was beaten, she knew when to stop struggling and when to accept that she was at the mercy of her tormentor. She stood there wishing she could somehow disintegrate into bits just to get away from him. "Leave me". She managed to say, her voice was raspy from crying and screaming. "I hate you". He pushed her further against the wall causing her to wince from the discomfort. "You are making it very difficult for me to not be like this with you, Madeline". He said. He meant every word he spoke, he didn't like being like this with her, but she had pushed him to the point that he very well couldn't help it. "You're hurting me". She cried quietly. He shut his eyes in a quiet prayer, she'd make him lose his mind. He released his hold on her ever so slightly so her discomfort
