Kael glanced down at his arm still around her. Then back at her. “Well… this is awkward.” Aria snorted. “You think?” He carefully loosened his arm and sat up slightly. “Did we fall asleep like this?” Aria sat up as well, pulling the blanket around her shoulders. “No.” “So you moved.” She crossed her arms. “It got cold.” Kael nodded thoughtfully. “Understandable.” She pointed at him. “You’re very warm.” “I’ve been told.” Aria rolled her eyes. But the awkwardness faded quickly as both of them started laughing quietly. The tension disappeared almost instantly.
