ATLAS' POV The hallway was quiet except for the sound of my boots against the floor. Behind me, I could hear the soft click of heels following at a measured pace. Selene. She never walked too close, never too far — just enough to remind me she was there. When I reached my office, I pushed open the door and stepped inside. Moving behind the desk, I sank into the high-backed chair, the leather creaking softly beneath me.
