Testing scientifically advanced technologies can be equally dangerous both on the planet’s surface and in cosmic space. My teacher was testing super advanced military technology that supposed to be capable of cosmic star staff manipulation. As an astrophysicist, you know that the stars do not last forever and during the last stages of their lifespan, they begin to accumulate heavy metals such as iron inside their core. In the following stages of star’s lifespan they expand and explode so violently that it “completely” annihilated itself to become black holes or much smaller and denser white neutron stars.

 Together with his team my teacher had silently and helplessly witnessed many cases where as a result of stellar evolution the stars with around ten or more times mass of the Sun explode in a supernova as their inert iron cores collapsed by destroying planets unlucky enough to situate nearby. They watched as those green planets disappeared at the end of their mother star’s turbulent lifespan.

As a result of my teacher's experiments, we were able to developed technologies advanced enough for saving planets situated around those unstable stars.

 To reach numerous attempts have failed before reaching scientific breakthrough. Yet our understanding of star physics is not complete, there are many unanswered questions even for my teacher.

However, with the discoveries already made, many civilizations were saved from disasters by moving planets to a new habitable zone when their mother star began the helium-burning process turning into red giant. At that stage those expanded stars also have habitable zones situated much further than the original one.
