Damon entered the car and sat tiredly after the fiasco with that woman. A little movement caught his attention and he diverted his gaze at the little fellow beside him. It was only at this moment that he paid his careful attention to his son. His cheeks were red and there were still tear stains on his skin. He really was crying. Damon picked him up and sat him in his lap. “What’s the matter? Why are you crying?” He asked gently as he wiped his son’s cheeks. The boy sniffed and looked up indignantly at his father. “I want to see mommy,” Allen said in a whimper. Damon was taken aback. “Son..” “No! I want to see Mommy! She is not dead! Mommy’s alive!” Allen started to exclaim as tears slid down his cheeks once again. Damon’s eyebrows immediately knitted. “Who told you about this?” H
