Reed I was already twenty minutes behind schedule and my phone had been ringing for the last half hour. Normally, I was a man of order and efficiency. But after the kiss Wendy and I had shared the night before, my mind had been completely useless. I had spent half the night lying awake, staring at the ceiling.
