Penny and I spend the afternoon, after lunch, getting to know each other. Talking about hobbies, music, movies, books, sports and more. The werewolf stuff of course comes up now and then, but for the most part, the conversation feels so natural and normal. I bring up that I want to check in with work and send stuff. Well, once I hear word on my camera anyway. Penny is super accommodating, and says she’ll bring me a laptop first thing tomorrow. She lets me borrow her phone, just to send a “don’t panic” email to the magazine, and one to my mom that I lost my phone but will call her when I get a new one.
Thinking about needing to purchase a new phone and camera, and anything else that was damaged, has me chewing the inside of my cheek. Penny tries reassuring me that the pack will cover it,
