Monday morning came early for Kaitie and Jake. They had a busy day ahead of them, and it started with Kaitie opening the Bailey Clinic for the first time since the storm and holidays. Jake had gone with her and would spend the day in town, mainly at the clinic. Before the day got started at the clinic, they would have a video conference with the neurologist Kaitie knew. With luck, he would give Jake good news.
“Are you two ready for your meeting?” Allie chirped as she walked into Kaitie’s office carrying a foam container from the café. “Rhonda sent goodies for you. No cinnamon rolls, but she did send cookies and brownies.”
