My hands shake as I ring the doorbell on the pack house. I’d gone back to the office, but he wasn’t there. My best bet was here at the pack house. A young woman in a basic cleaning uniform answers the door. “How can I help you?” She smiles meekly at me. “Is Alpha Hunter here?” I clasp my hands together to stop the trembling. “Do you have an appointment?” She asks, eyeing me wearily.
