4. Vampires

I sigh as I step out of the shower, finally feeling refreshed. I turn on the fan in my bathroom to help clear out the fog. Toast hops up on the counter and purrs as he rubs against me. “Hey buddy, you know I don’t like you jumping up on things.” I scold him as I gently scoop him up and place him on the ground. When I stand back up and my eyes focus on my reflection I gasp and stumble backwards. I’m as pale as a ghost with dark circles under my eyes that make me look like I’ve been punched. As my eyes sweep downward they widen in shock. There’s two nasty puncture wounds on my neck right over my pulse point. I trace my finger over it and shiver. What the f**k happened last night?
