Chapter 1: Anubis

Her moans filled the room, playing a pleasant music to my ears as I increased my pace; sliding in and out of her. It gave me some sort of pride, knowing that she was having an intense orgasmic pleasure under me. I was on the verge of my release too. I could tell with the way the tip of my shaft was tingling inside her. Regardless, I continued in this motion till she clenched around me and the friction between our genitals caused me to explode my seeds inside her and she came through with her third o****m. "For the love of Hathor! Anubis you were intense" Reem spoke through a kiss as she locked her lips against mine, and then we cuddled briefly. We were deeply in love. We shared a very special kind of bond — one that superseded the bond of ordinary lovers. Maybe it was so because we had a few things in common, of which the most pronounced one was being the underdogs in our Institution. Here, being special was normal and so no one cared less if you were the only one that could shift into a werewolf, and at the same time be adept in the use of spells and potions. Unlike the other students, Reem and I had no parents, and we had no knowledge of what they were like, nor the history about them. This place was more than just an institution. It was a kingdom, a sanctuary to the learned and highly civilized witches and wizards. We were one of the five legitimate BEINGS, of which the others were the elven people, the dwarves, humans, and the peculiar dragons. Unlike other beings, we seldom felt the urge to explore other parts of the world. We were very much comfortable in this confinement of ours, where we could learn and assimilate the vast knowledge of this strange world, undisturbed. Only a few wizards sometimes, left this place to settle urgent matters in the outside world. Other than that, an average wizard would almost never step foot out of this fortress. We minded our business and concerned ourselves in our own matters. In the meantime, while Reem and I cuddled, we tried to enjoy our lovey-dovey moment as much as we could before we’d be forced to face reality. And as if that was an entrance cue, my teacher called for me. "Anubis! Oh, Anubis! Who knows what that boy's up to now?" I could hear him mutter faintly. Certainly this wasn’t good news because I was sure he was headed straight to my room. And I was going to be in big trouble if he found me being intimate with Reem. "Hurry! Reem wear your clothes, Moallim's coming" I whispered aloud, throwing Reem her clothes as I hurriedly wore mine. By now I could hear his heavy footsteps making their way to my room "Et invisibilia" I pronounced an invisible spell about Reem who was still struggling with her clothes. A second later, Moallim entered my room. "Moallim?" I chuckled nervously, feigning surprise. "Are you deaf or something? Didn't you hear me calling you?" he arched an eyebrow at me, sensing foul play "No I didn't" I lied through my teeth "And why do I perceive that orphan girl around you" he queried me, crossing his arms. "Her name's Reem, and she was here. She came to borrow my books" I defended and he sighed in disbelief. In as much as I feared my teacher, I always made sure he understood that I didn’t like him disrespecting Reem — an attitude which he had turned to a norm. "So what new spell have you practiced today?" He changed the topic "I haven't done any. I was in the library all day going through an interesting spellbook" I said rushing my statement so he could hear me out before probably punishing me for not practicing my spells. "And what book was that?" He asked; his temper building up. He was an impatient and hot-tempered person. "A book about Astral projection" I found myself saying. My teacher must've cast a truth spell on me just now. I can’t blame him anyway. I never always told the truth. I was a problem child so I was used to lying to save myself. "What?" He exclaimed in shock, staring at me with a gaping maw as his face turned pale, as if refusing to believe what his ears heard. This expression lasted only for a short while before his pale face turned into an unbridled mask of fury; fumes emitting from his nostrils like an enraged bull. He snapped his finger and at once, a flaming whip formed instantly in his hands. I understood quite well why he reacted in such manner. It was forbidden to acquire knowledge about Astral projection or practice it because it was a form of black magic, and black magic, in general, was forbidden. But I did it out of curiosity. "How many times! have I warned you! not to go through things that pertain to black magic?" he yelled through clenched teeth drawing his whips back to descend them on me. "Wait! Moallim it's not what it seems like" I tried explaining but he wasn’t listening. I feared his whips a lot, so I did what anyone else would do if they were in my shoes. "vade ad tempus habens sexus post me venire iussisset ex Rabbi me hodie!" I casted a time travel spell as I saw the whip in mid-air making its way to land on me. Time ceased abruptly and a strong whirlwind engulfed me, transporting me back to a few moments earlier when I was in the bosoms of Reem. Now, fully prepared I waited for my teacher to open the door. My teacher entered my room quite alright, just as expected, but unlike the previous time, he looked more tensed, and enraged now. And before I could find out what went wrong with the spell, he struck his flaming whip at me and it slashed the part of my flesh where it landed immediately. I fell off my feet and writhed in pain but it didn't stop more strokes from landing on me. "Anubis! So it has been you all along!" He roared in anger. "you are the one who has been using the time spell!" He yelled— the disappointment he felt, clearly evident in his face. "Moallim Abubakar, your presence is required by the Council of Wizards" a messenger whom neither of us realized when he barged into my room, interrupted him, saving me from the terror that had befallen me, and left immediately he delivered his message. "This won't end here!" My teacher threatened as he left, following the messenger. Almost simultaneously, Reem relieved the invisible spell and saw me writhing on the floor. "For the love of Hathor! What happened? Why did moallim beat you?" she bombarded me with questions as she dashed towards me. The look in her eyes showed that she really cared for me. I wasn't surprised she didn't hear anything that transpired. The invisible spell could inhibit the hearing of the person in it depending on the distance between the person and the subject[s] of sound. "I don't know, I must've done something terrible" I lied in pretense. "Come here, I'll apply ointments on your wounds so they won't turn into scars," she said as she sat on the floor, placed my head on her laps, and cuddled me. *COUNCIL OF WIZARDS* MOALLIM ABUBAKAR * The elders were staring at me intently as I walked silently inside the 'Grande Hall of Wizards'. The cavern was semi-dark, with just a few tongues of fire lighting it up ominously. The Chief of Wizards was the first to speak. "Someone used black magic within the walls of this institution again, and we know you know WHO," He said adjusting his long white hair that flowed into his beards. "It is one of my students, he used a time spell," I sighed, bending my head in shame. "Anubis? How did he learn the spell" another wizard asked. And then there was a bellowed commotion which died away almost as quickly as it rose. "Abubakar you know the rules. He must be expelled for using black magic, let alone using a time spell. Does he have any idea what will happen should he use the spell for the eighth time?" The Chief asked arching an eyebrow but I didn't say a word in return. "He must be expelled at once, or go to 'Ka-koon', the temple in Mt. Horeb for cleansing" he stated plainly, hiding his anger. "But chief you know he has nowhere to go if he's expelled. And going to Horeb is suicide, it's certain he'll die, he'll never make it there!" I tried to reason with him, but he wasn’t having it. "Him being alive is an abomination!" He replied sharply, almost immediately. "He should've been killed when he was born, we've shown him enough compassion" he added. "we've already committed a sin by keeping Anubis, a descendant of Volkan alive" another wizard spoke, supporting the motion of the chief. "Anubis is like a son to me, I've been there since he was born. I’ve been there all his life. Please, isn't there another way?" I requested earnestly. "And so was his ancestor, Arin. He was like a son to you too until he became Volkan," he said in a voice that held no emotion. "There's no other way Abubakar, you are dismissed!"
