CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE REED WATCHED AS Chance dragged Hayley away, the other three men stalking toward him, bats raised. His wolf growled, legs braced and ready to dodge in any direction. He desperately needed to get to Hayley, get her away from the sociopath who just dragged her away. First though, he had to escape the three thugs coming his way intent on killing him. “You really should have remained behind your desk, Teach,” Aaron said, bouncing his bat in the palm of his hand as he approached. The other two men flanked him, definitely the underlings. “You might have lived longer.” Reed snarled, his lips curled upward, exposing his sharp teeth.
