CHAPTER FIFTEEN
REED FELT HIS father’s shocked gaze staring at him. “This guy kidnapped someone?” his father asked. “What on earth for?”
“Reed?”
Everyone turned to see Erin standing in the kitchen doorway, her face flushed from where she had been in a yelling match with Lincoln. Reed had been so intent on what he needed to talk to his father about, he hadn’t even heard the yelling stop.
He smiled, but still held onto Hayley’s hand. “Hello, Erin. Good to see you again.” He motioned to Hayley with his other hand. “This is Hayley. She’s going to be staying here for a bit.” He turned to his father, a questioning look on his face. “If that’s all right, that is?”
His father shrugged. “Doesn’t bother me. That kidnapping, though, that bothers me.”
