“Attention all warriors,” Alpha Dom mind-linked all the warriors travelling in our congregate. “There has been an attack in Deadwood Forest. Be prepared for battle.”
His simple words had adrenalin pumping through my veins. ‘A real battle,’ I thought with a smile.
“This is not a time to try to show off to prove yourself,” Alpha Dom bent towards Rogan and I. “You have nothing to prove to anyone else. Just watch each other’s backs and get out of there alive.”
“Yes, Sir,” we both responded.
“Race you to the first kill.” I mind-linked Rogan, already visualising it in my mind.
“f**k off, I’ll destroy you,” he retaliated. “Although, I’ll probably be too distracted saving your ass as usual.”
“As if,” I laughed in my head, rolling my eyes. “Game on.”
