Ryder As we neared home, I could feel the tension in the car increase. After the last food stop, Rogan and I moved to the back of the car and Melody and Ryka replaced out seats as they would be dropped off first. The drive was filled with my dad reliving old memories of himself and Melody growing up in her father’s pack. I found myself laughing at their antics and mischief, then feeling the pain of how she was treated as a weapon not a daughter. It made me wonder if that’s why she was so callous in leaving Jake weakening them both, maybe she didn’t know the meaning of family. It certainly gave me a stronger appreciation of everything my parents even as Luna and Alpha to our pack, had provided Amaya and myself. Lost in my thought’s I’d almost missed the conversation happening around me
