PROLOGUE

Seductress

Sitting in this low-cost cafe and taking a sip on their latte was my disguise as I glance to a familiar woman walking in through the glass door of this cafe.

The woman was frantically familiar, because it was my freaking mother! I had to brought both my hands on my mouth to covered my exaggerated opened mouth reaction as I follow her down walking to this unfamiliar, err handsome guy, that was sitting beside on the glass window of this cafe.

I can say that the the guy was about my brother's age, and I didn't mistook my mom to be dating such a younger dude. Like, what the f**k?! This will become huge mess if this will leak out.

Honestly, I freaking understand my mom if she'd want to find another man for herself, because it has already been years since we lost dad, and my mom is still on her fourthies. She could mingle more and find someone!

But not someone who's f*****g twenty years younger than her! That would be f*****g gross if they decided to marry off each other. I'd be f*****g calling a dude almost same as my brother's age a dad?! Hell no!

Earlier today, at our house I kind of eavesdrop something over my mom who's talking over a call on her phone. It was an accident since I was about to go to my room and when I passed by her room I heard her giggle and said she'll meet someone over this cheap cafe at exactly nine. At first I was just happy for her, because finally after so many years she's opening up her heart to someone and we are actually always convincing her to go on a date, and now she's finally having one.

That was exactly what I was thinking, but as I got to my room I overthinked on why the hell she'd be meeting in a guy in a cheap cafe? Knowing my mom, she isn't fund of typical and cheap things. Does she want a private relationship or this man she's meeting isn't credible that's why she have to meet him over a not-known-low-cost cafe.

I guess the man isn't credible, because if he is, then he should set up a date with my mother on an expensive restaurant or atleast a decent cafe. That's why I came more earlier to their meet up place and hoped and pray that my mom would not not enter through that glass door, but sad to say there she is now. Gladly talking to the guy. This is awful to watch for me, but I need to secure my mother, if ever they would go out unto somewher, I need to follow them, because I have a hunch that this guy just wants my mother's money. What a cruel asshole!

I didn't know that I was thinking so hard about my anger for that man that I almost broke the glass table of the cafe when I carelessly place my cup on it. It created a loud thud. That almost people on that cafe, who's mostly are students turned their gaze upon me, like I was such a disrespectful human being.

I had to lower my head unto them and mouthed a sorry, and I saw the man who's with my mom was also looking to me. He was just the one who's looking, since my mom's back was the one facing me.

I rolled my eyes at him, since I'm not sorry for him, and the jerk just smirk on what did I do! Grr..

My mom notices his smirk and I heard him asked the guy, but I didn't catch what she actually said since we're too far. I looked at him as he didn't answer my mom through his words but pouted his lips pointing on me!

I panicked and picked up my things as I saw my mom slowly turning her head on where am I seated, and before she could fully see me I already turned around and I assume that it was only my back she fully saw.

It was such a relief that there was another way out of the cafe, so it wasn't hard to leave without my mother knowing I was stalking her.

Instead of going home I drove my way to my brother. I don't frigging know where my brother can be located right now, since he has a lot of offices, because he's the only one who's managing our hotel businesses.

I'm the heiress of that business, because I was the biological daughter of my mom and dad who got actually married. Naziel, my half-brother was my mom's son when she was a maiden, before she met my dad. Also I have a younger half-sister, which is Nari was my dad's daughter on other woman.

Actually both Nari and I are dad's biological daughter but since Nari was made by an affair she was declined to be the heiress. Her mother was called a mistress by dad's family and didn't acknowledge her, because who would damn acknowledge a mistress, but later on that scandal from our family vanished.

It's hard to say that it vanished when the biological mother of Nari died after giving birth to her, but it was like that.

When it was the time to read dad's last will and testament back when I was eighteen, I didn't know what to feel, after it was announced that I will be the next one to take over the hotel business.

The first thing that I did that time was to look for my brother Naziel, and think that this was so unfair. I don't have the knowledge in business and this isn't my thing.

It should be Naziel that should take over the business, because he was the one that my dad had trained when he was alive. I look through his reaction but I didn't saw hatred upon his face. Hence, he had a smile on the face and cheered for me to do great but I can't. This isn't for me.

That's why after my nineteenth birthday I announced to the board of directors of Villanova Hotels and Casino their new CEO, and that was Naziel.

At first it was so damn hard convincing Naziel to take over the company 'cause I cant and I trust him that he would do good with the company.

“Naz, Please take over this hotel business. You know I can't stand stress and business meetings, and it is such a pressure.. argggh”

I lamented way back when I was still convincing him on his office in an engineering firm. I am seated in a visitor's chair while he was busy, reading papers, while doing some work on his laptop.

“We can't change dad's will and testament, and it would be an issue to the family if I would be the CEO in your company knowing that I'm not a biological son, so stop whining here around and go back to your company. Ms. CEO"

I rolled my eyes in his mockering reply and he started laughing at my reaction. I f*****g don't like to work, especially as a hotelier.

That was years of convincing Naziel and after he became the CEO of our company our hotel chain became the leading Hotel and Casino for almost five years, and for me that decision I made was one of my favorite. As long as my family's intact together I will do and sacrifice everything I've got.

I can'et this estranged man that is going out with my mom be the downfall of our business, if my hunch is right that this guy's intention with my mom is entangled with the company. Now that my mom is dearly healed and has taken back her position as the COO of our company.

I didn't find Naziel on the first branch of our hotel, and because of my lazy ass on finding my brother I didn't get to talk to him. So I just drove to one of my friends

*VOILA RESTO BAR*

I'm at the resto bar of my friend Yua, and I know that she'll panic knowing that I'm here at this hour. It still f*****g noon and I'm here at her bar.

“What's our problem there Miss-fashion-icon?”

I rolled my eyes at Yua who's wearing an apron and walking to where I was seated in one of her stools in the bar counter.

“Sorry miss, but our bar counter's close at the time being.”

she said but got into the bar counter and started getting some equipments to make me a drink. I laughed in my thoughts, this Yua girl here can't skip being paid off. What a business minded.

“Or, not anymore?”

she was busy getting some bottle of drinks, which she will be using in my favorite cocktail, when she said that. It made my brows shot up and his eyes are on the person who newly arrived at her resto bar.

I turned my head back and saw the guy who's with my mom earlier, the one I rolled my eyes off at the cafe. Gosh! What now?! I hide my surprised expression and frowned at him, and he just showed me with that smirk again. Ew, you show that kind of look to lure sugar mommies?!

Wait, what?! Am I lured? This is gross.

He was half-smiling as he walk straight at the bar counter. Yua got out of the bar counter and smiled with the man.

“Sup, you're just on time Ryden.”

Yua greeted the guy. She gave him a nameplate that the guy quickly put on the right side of his chest. Yua smiled to that guy lastly and the guy smiled back to after Yua turned to me and said.

“I gotta go, he's my newly hired bartender.”

she kissed me on my cheek and winked on me before he disappeared from our sight. Right now I have the urged to go home and forget that I want to have a drink, if this guy will be the one who's making it. It's either it has a love potion or a poison.

What was his name again? I searched for his nameplate and there I found the asshole's name. Ryden.

“So, what mix is it Miss?”

he looked at me with that playboy looked and now with a darn smile. This guy knows how to play a game, and I will never back out.

“tequila sunrise”

I said as I flashed my most sultry smile and seductful eyes, while slowly gliding my tongue on my lower lip and chuckled a little.

I thought he would be annoyed, but he just lowered his head unto mine and looked me in the eyes.

I met his eyes, and it was kind of hypnotizing that I forgot that we are in a battle. Instead of pushing him around, I glided my fingers to his sculptured jaw and caressed it until he clenched it, hiding his worldly reaction. I chuckled as I thought that I have this effect on him.

“Aren't you going to prepare my drink mister bartender?”

I said in my most womanly voice smooth as a whisper, while I'm caressing now his face, I saw how her eyes lowered over my lips so I licked it, and saw how his adam's apple moved.

I am slowly getting there.

“Or, are we gonna flirt here all day? Like what you and my mother did?”

I added up to what I said earlier but my gaze at him changed, from being the lustful one to being the b***h one.

He wasn't taken aback on what I just prompted to his face. That he too clearly knows my identity, and I hate how I couldn't see annoyance on his face?!

Like, I flirted with him and just left him hanging, I did that to make him annoyed.

And what made me so mad at him, was his answer after I questioned him!

“You aren't that great, than your mother.”

he said that without blinking an eye in front me of that made me storm off from the resto bar of Yua.

“Yes, I won't be your ‘great’ flirt!.. Because I will be you're f*****g seductress, that you can't say no to all of my whims!”

I cursed him under my breath as I drove back to our house.

Fuming mad and annoyed, his words keep playing and playing over my head. It's like that he and my mother got to do some worldly things when I left that cafe. In for goodness sake I didn't mistook my mom who would do that. Who would I f*cking believe now? I surely need a talk with my mom, but surely she wouldn't f*cking believe what I say and it will turned out I'm making things up.

My grip onto the steering wheel tightened and stepped on the gas more harder. I'm now driving like a f*cking mad man and I exceeded the speed limit of the highway making me followed by cops on their police cars. I stepped on the gas more as I was being chased by these patrol cars, with their noisy sirene.

Them chasing me feels like a new thrill of experience and I totally forgot about that bastard guy my mom is seeing. I was about to do a turn on a narrow street to lose the copes when I didn't see through it that I can't have a full turn, since there's a street food stall on my supposed way!

I heard a loud thud coming from the engine of my car, and I was taken aback from my seat because of the impact after I pulled my breaks on.

“Darn it!” was all I could say and slammed my balled fist on my steering wheel.

“What a super unlucky day, dear Nadia.”

I talked to myself as I was looking on the rearview mirror and because my car windows are heavily tinted. Cops are knocking the hell out of my car.

What an amazing day it is.

I opened my car door and slowly got outside with an awkward smile plastered on my lips. I heard them sighed after they know who it was and look at each other.

“What a stunt-again Ms. Villanova”

his statement made me close my eyes as he derived the word ‘again’.

“You know the drill, Ms. Villanova”

the officer said as he glance their patrol car to me. I just nodded and quickly follows the officer.

This will be the third time that I was arrested for reckless driving and now I need to compromise for the damages of that street food stall. The owner of that stall just said he's needed amount, and said he doesn't want to go to the police station anymore to sue me. I just pay the exact amount he needed and got off with the cops to the police station.

When we got to the station, They just made me sit there and wait until someone answer the phone in our house. I guess they're all f*cking busy 'cause it took an hour before someone answered it, and I was glad it was Nari.

“Is that true, that you we're arrested? Are you okay there?”

she calmly asks me over the phone and I sensed that she was worried for me being arrested.

If this was mom or Naziel it will be full of lament from them. Ughh!

I chuckled at her worriedness and assured her that I'll be okay.

“They're just processing some papers here so I could bail out. Don't worry darling, and please don't tell mom nor Naziel. Pretty please?”

I heard her sigh on the other line since keeping secrets is hard for her.

“Okay, I'll keep it since mom isn't here. I would not feel guilty.”

She bid her goodbyes to me after that and ended the call.

My mind didn't leave on what she have said that mom wasn't home yet? Where can she be right at this hour.

After I finished my business there at the police station I immediately got inside of our car driven by our driver. My car was being towed to where I bumped a stall that's why I contacted my driver earlier to pick me up. Not exactly at the police station but in a fast food restaurant.

As I was heading home I rest my back at our car seat and my phone beeped for a notification. There was two messages on it.

I opened first the message of one of Naziel' secretary, since I was anticipating to where I could locate my brother.

Naziel's Secretary:

Good day Ms. Villanova, Mr. Naziel Villanova has already flew to Europe for the upcoming Business Trade.

Wow, just exactly wow. Just when the time I needed someone to talk over this issue with my mom, that's the time when he's so busy. This can't be talked over the phone or facetime. This is a serious matter not until my mom announces marriages with that not-so-credible boy.

I opened the message of Yua, and my eyes got bigger after I read it.

Yua Floresca:

I was so glad of your mom's visit in my resto bar. She arrived after you left my bar, you didn't got to see her, and I had fun talking to her, so I kinda informed you late :-)

What was that? Did she go there because she knew that, that Ryden guy works their. What is she getting herself into? If this will go on and someone who knows my mom or that guy, this will 'cause a big scandal not just for the family but for the business, and the last thing that I don't want to happen now is seeing our company failed while Naziel's the one leading it. It will crash him down and untrust his own self, even if it's not his fault.

That's why I need to stop this relationship between that Ryden guy and my mom. I will seduce him and make him forget about my mom.
