The both stayed still, their eyes glued on each other's lips, as the air became suddenly too intense for them.
Now, there was no space between them, and her back hitting against the tree behind, making her trapped completely.
"Ronan.." she managed to mutter, her body shaking just by mentioning his name. To crown, his name didn't sound like a warning to her, but like a surrender, as she craved him. He finally touched her, very light, and careful.
The touch was more like he was afraid she might disappear. Elara's body reacted instantly, with her breathing becoming uneven. Her wolf strived to be seen, to be claimed, but she did everything possible to suppress her.
"This is completely wrong," she whispered.
"Then, what explanation do you give to it feeling right?" He asked. But she she no answer. Both of them had no answer for it. And that was because it was too right, too natural and at the same time, very dangerous.
His hand gently moved to her right cheek, using his thumb to brush it. She shifted her face, to avoid his touch, because it was making her lose control of herself. But he forced her to up at him.
"Elara..." He called softly, and that was enough, that was all he needed, and his walls broke.
"I'm very scared," she admitted truthfully.
The words might have come out too small, but it was her vulnerability. It was real.
"What are you scared of?" He asked, longing to hear her talk.
"Of losing everything that represents me," she whispered, wishing she didn't have to explain herself that way. "Starting from Selene, my best friend, to my family, that will detest me when they finally found out. And then again is myself...."
His expression softened as he listened to her break down, sobbing and sharing her worries and deepest fears with him.
"You are not going to lose yourself," he replied.
That moment seemed to stretch on, too fragile and also vulnerable.
"I am already losing myself," she replied calmly. With that, she leaned close to him, just slightly, but enough to make him feel her. Enough to ignite the desire he had been suppressing. And immediately, he lost control of himself, and he captured her lips again.
This time around, they didn't hesitate, neither was there any confusion. The desire, pain and blneed was very bold, and staring at their faces.
This time, it wasn't confusion from alcohol. Not the type that they blamed on alcohol. It was he just pure desire, raw emotion that both of them consented to. Her hand gripped his shirt, as his arms were gently wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer to himself.
The way his hands moved, suggested he was afraid she might disappear any moment. He needed her for himself, I all showed in the way he kissed her.
To confirm she was real, and with him at that moment, he deepened the kiss. It was very desperate, hungry, a d at the same time forbidden. It was everything they had intentionally been holding back and more.
Those time they had to act like they didn't know each other. Those times they had to supress the desires of their wolves, just not to bring their desires and emotions bare before the pack. Their bond was undeniable, and this was the only time since that night, that they've freely expressed themselves truly.
Just when they were going deeper, deeper into the ocean of desire, Elara pulled back suddenly, crashing whatever they had at that moment. She was finding it hard to breathe by now, because of how intense their intimacy had been.
With a wide eyes, she asked. "What exactly are we doing...?
Ronan didn't know what to say, as his chest heaved up and down, trying to catch his breath. He didn't care to reply her, as all his body needed was to be close to her, to be engulfed in her warm embrace, exploring every curves in her body.
She didn't respond to her, not because he didn't want to, but because there was nothing to say. The truth was already staring deep in their eyes, and that truth they both know. They had already crossed the line many times, long before they realized how far they had gone.
"This can't happen ever again," she replied quickly, making an attempt to step away. Ronan didn't move, a s he still didn't make any attempt to stop her this time. But his eyes did everything he couldn't do with his hand. They followed her, very very with longing.
"It will, even more than it has already," he said quietly.
She shook her head, making effort to have the last say.
"No."
"Yes."
Her heart pounded wildly, with her having no control over it.
"You're very wrong."
Ronan too a slow but steady step backward, making sure to put the distance she had demanded. But his gaze never weavered, never left hers.
"We will see to that at last," he replied calmly.
With that, Elara turned, and walked away in a fast pace.
It was more like he was running away from something, but the truth still remains, she wasn't.
She was actually pulling all the effort, just to run away from herself, from him a d everything he does to her. She was trying to be far away from the truth she couldn't do anything about.
Behind her, Ronan stood still, not moving but watching her. His wolf was restless, unsatisfied, as he needed more of her. He wanted to claim her, over and over again, untill all he could think about was her.
And even though she ran off, claiming they won't meet ever again, he knew deep down inside him, that they were far from even starting. Because whatever this was, he was ready to explore. It was no mistake to him as Elara see it. It was rather something beyond their control, and soon enough, he would give it his all, to consume everything.
Just with time.
