"Kira," she heard her name, making her to look up to the direction of the voice, and there was Jax, standing before her. "What are you doing here all by yourself?' he asked like he cared. Of course, Kira was full of pretence, because she smiled sweetly. "Oh, nothing much. Just enjoying the incredible view." Jax chuckled at the response, but hiding his response under a smirk. "Well, you should enjoy it fast. Any moment from now, things would definitely get official on my side." Kira stood up, and moved a few steps closer to him. "Are you really sure about that decision? That things would go as you planned it?" She asked softly, now smiling back at him. Jax frowned, completely confused on what she meant. "What exactly is that statement supposed to mean?" He asked, his ears itching to hear what she had to say. But Kira just shook her head, saying nothing meaningful. ", just asking to be sure...are you certain everything is exactly as they look outside? Likd you have everything under control?" At this point, Jax couldn't take it any longer. He decided he would force Kira to talk, to day something because he was already dying of suspicion. "Kira, you definitely have something to say..." "I don't, you should stop putting words in my mouth." She cut him in quickly, now smiling. "You should relax. Today is obviously your day, and you shouldn't be getting yourself worked up." He studied her for a few seconds, trying to figure out if she's lying to him. He was still suspicious, but decided not to push further. "Yeah. You're right." He finally admitted. "Then, enjoy your day to the fullest." With that, Jax walked away, but knowing how malicious Kira could be, he was still not comfortable. Kira stood there, watching him go, her smile slightly fading. "You really have no idea of all that transpired before this gathering." Kura heard two younger wolves giggling behind her. "I heard she even fainted at school, many times before it was discovered she was with a pup " one of them narrated like she was there when it happened. Or one would even think she was the doctor that attended to her. "Yeah. You're not far from the truth. That was how the story of her pregnancy became the news of the week." "That's really crazy to start with " another chipped in. "Do you think she might actually love him since she's getting married to him?" The shorter one among them asked. The other shrugged. "Does that really matter at this point?" Then she continued. "Since a pup is involved, there's no need checking if they love themselves. They should take responsibility for their actions." Kira scoffed from where she sat, let out a soft laugh. "They are talking about love?" She muttered to herself. "Well, it shouldn't be a topic of discussion today of all day." Then, she stood up, moving now toward a corner more quieter than the rest. Her eyes quickly scanned the gathering again , more like she was waiting for someone. Then, they settled on Ronan. Kira's eyes narrowed on him, waiting for an opportunity to cross poo aths with him. "Now, my focus is on you..." She murmured to herself. "You're obviously the most interesting piece in this gathering today." Then, she reached out into her bag, this time, she pulled out what looked like a horn fabric. She brushed her fingers on them slowly, but carefully like it was a treasure that she must preserve for the next generation. She took her phone from her bag also, unlocked it, and scrolled through the messages. Then, she stopped at an unknown contact. "Everything confirmed?" Kira typed slowly, deliberately, then came a response. "Yes " Then, another message came in almost immediately. "Do you need proof?" Kira smiled. "Yes!"
