Letter from My Future -- Part 2: Where Love Finds Me

238 Words
Dear Me, You used to wonder if anyone would ever truly understand you — the depth, the fire, the tenderness hiding behind all that strength. He does. He’s here. He didn’t arrive with noise, but with calm. Not with promises, but with presence. Not to complete you, but to remind you — you were always whole. The man beside me now doesn’t need to fix me. He respects the storms I survived. He honors the silence I once cried into. He holds my face gently, as if I’m something precious — because to him, I am. He isn’t perfect. But he’s kind. Loyal. Deep. And I’m no longer begging to be loved — I’m resting in it. We don’t live in a palace, but in a humble house that smells like morning coffee and peace. It has cracked walls and soft curtains, but also sunlight that dances on our skin while we read in bed. This is home. And guess what? He came when I stopped searching, and started trusting. The world didn’t give me what I asked for — it gave me what I needed. And it waited until I was ready to receive it. So if you’re tired now, I understand. But keep going. Keep healing. Because on the other side of all this pain… He’s there. And he can’t wait to meet the woman you’re becoming. With love, Me. From the moment love found me.
