Opening my eyes, the first thing that came to my sight was a stone. Am I still dreaming? Of course I am or else, why would there be a stone in my room and that too this big? I rubbed my eyes and looked again. My face twisted when the familiar stone appeared in front of me once again. What the hell is going on? What is a stone doing here in my room? A groan escaped my lips as I lifted my body into a sitting position. My body felt like it had been run over by a moving train. My neck twisted, scanning the surroundings only to find myself lying on the pile of dried leaves in the middle of the forest. Where am I? That was the first thing that came into my head. Just then, my eyes caught something chilling. There were blood rushes on the stone. It was all it took for the memories to come hit me like a tone of brick. Panic was quick to hit me. Oh my god, how long have I been here? Mom, dad and Adam must be worried. I check myself. There were minor cuts here and there. Other than that, I was unharmed. I mentally thank god for saving me. It could have been worse. I began to stand on my feet when an excruciating pain hit my right leg that had me wince in pain. My face contorted in pain as it became too painful. I exhaled in a long deep breath in distress. I was almost certain I had fractured it. Ignoring the pain, I forced myself to move. Limping with a sprained ankle, I began following the narrow path. Ten minutes into my journey I felt a surge of numbing dread, traveling within me, freaking me out. The route didn't look familiar to the one I had come from, which only means I was lost. Stopping, I tucked my hand inside of my pants pocket to grab my phone. To my disappointment, I realized I hadn't brought my phone with me. A sigh of frustration spilled over me. I can't even mindlink them. We are far from our pack and mindlink only works within the pack area. Having no option other than to continue, I began limping my way. Another twenty to half an hour passed when I discovered another horrendous and terrifying thing. I was in the same place as where I began. There, an inch away from me, was the same rock. All this while, I was just walking in a loop. The sun had begun to set. I'm terrified I'll never find my way back. The thought of never meeting mom, dad, Adam and Amanda had me tearing up. So many terrible thoughts were racing through my mind. All the potential that could occur at the moment. I don't want to die like this. Not when I still haven't met my mate yet. I was in a dilemma about how to get out of this place. My worries increase with each passing minute. My brain stops working at this point. Coming here was one of my worst decisions. Now, I regret not listening to mom. Batting my eyelashes, I tried to hold the saltiness back and convinced myself everything was going to be fine. Under no circumstances can I give up. Determined, I continued my journey for the third time. I realized my ankle wasn't hurting as much as before. Being an advantage of a Wolf. The healing properties of a werewolf are ten times faster than a normal human's. Even though the pain had improved, the slight pain indicated my ankle had yet to heal. I had no idea for how long I had been aimlessly walking when out of nowhere I bumped into someone. Tilting my face up and my breath hitched, my jaw dropped wide and I stopped breathing for a second as the person whom I collided with came to view. Time froze and the world stopped around me. An inch away was standing a Greek god. I don't think that would also justify his beauty. His looks were out of this world. His chiseled jaw seemed as sharp as a knife. His long dark lashes were guarding his striking blue eyes. Golden locks are shining brighter than the sun itself. Well-defined cheekbones that could make any woman envy. Let's not go to his juicy lips and his toned muscles. 'Mate' November purr. Happiness swelled in me. I was exhilarated. I finally found him. I found my mate. I still can't believe my eyes nor my luck. I never anticipated I would meet my mate in such a situation. Frankly, I was losing my hope of meeting my mate, but now he is in front of me, everything is fine and that's what matters. 'Mate Mate Mate' November couldn't stop pacing and chanting. I have never heard November speak when I am the one taking control over the body. The only time the human side and the Wolf side can actually verbally communicate is when the Wolf side is under control. When our human side is in control, we might not communicate with our wolf but we can feel their emotions. 'I know I know he is our mate, but you need to relax Nov' I tried to cool down my overly excited wolf, but to no use. She was too stubborn for her own good. Ignoring her, I took my attention back to my mate. His own eyes were zeroed on my body, examining it, scorching my skin that made me want to squirm. His whole aura radiated superiority, which was enough for me to know he is an Alpha line. In fact, the power he emitted in waves was so strong I am sure he will have no problem taking two Alpha's at a time. Once done checking me, his eyes settled back into my face. I was a little uncomfortable with his poker face. He didn't even seem like someone who had just found his mate. Does he not want me? A pit of misery hit me at the thought. My heart aches unbearably, almost as if it has been ripped apart. My insecurities were all over the place now. I was certain I was unwanted and he would reject me. Rejection was my biggest dread and it felt like it would be my reality very soon. What should I do in such circumstances? My mind was blank. So I did the only thing that came into my head. I turned around ready to run from there but before I knew, a hand grasped my wrist, taking me by surprise. My skin feels hot at the skin contact. I was yanked back, covering the space that separated us. "Where are you going?" He asked in a deep husky voice. I stayed quiet, not knowing how to answer his unexpected question. "I asked you something?" He stressed. His warm breath fanned in the crook of my neck. My muscles were tense as ne'er desired to stumble upon me. The sudden tingling sensation in between my legs was a foreign sensation to me. I felt ashamed of my own emotions. How can a mere touch from someone affect me in such a way? "Stop moving," he stated, drawing me closer. The struggle vanished from my body. It was the Alpha tone that had my muscles compiled to bow down in front of him. "Good girl," November purred in delight. She was over the moon getting praised by our mate. "Close your eyes and take a deep breath," he whispered in my ear. I press my eyes closed and inhale his manly fragrance in an attempt to control my unsteady heartbeat. Repeating the action a few times, I felt my muscles relax. "Feeling better?" He inquired. "Yes," I said with a slight nod of my head. "Now answer me," he ordered. "I-I," I stammered at a loss for words. He made me turn towards him but I was so nervous my eyes dropped down on their own. I don't know why I am behaving like that. It is not that I wasn't comfortable in his presence. Just nervousness had made me unable to function properly. All this time I have desired this man more than anything, but now he is in front of me. I didn't know how to react. He grips my chin, making me look at him. "Look at me while speaking. A Luna cannot show weakness," he says in a deep raspy voice. "Oka?" "Wait what Luna," Luna? Did he just call me his Luna? Is he not rejecting me? Hope blossomed and my heart fluttered in excitement. "You are my mate, that automatically makes you Luna," he answered, as a matter of fact. "You are not rejecting me?" My voice nearly broke at the end. Those acidic words had tears accumulating on my waterline. Inwardly, cursing myself for being so sensitive, I gulped down the lump in my throat, avoiding the tears that were desperate to fall out. He arched an eyebrow in response. "Why would I do that?" Now, I feel stupid for overthinking. He must have been shocked by our sudden and unexpected meeting. Obviously he was. I didn't even give him time to process everything and jumped in concussion. "I just thought-," I started off. "Well, you thought wrong then," he cut in, already knowing what I was going to say. Silence followed his declaration. We were both staring at each other. Our lips were sealed but the emotion in our eyes was doing all the talking. We were both so engrossed in each other when a feminine voice came from somewhere behind my mate. "Why that hell did you run from there?" My eyes darted to the petite figure that stopped right beside my mate. She didn't even notice me as all her attention was focused on my mate. My eyes took in her features. Big doe brown eyes. thin lips. Her nose is a bit wide. Freckles dotted her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. Her body was the highlight. Thin waist. A good amount of flesh in both her chest and hip area didn't look fake. Her hair was tied in a high bun. She looked flawless. Regardless of my appealing physical appearance, I couldn't help but feel insecure. "I'm sorry my wolf took over," Said my mate. The anger in her face melted and concern overtook it. "Is everything okay?" Her frantic tone as she uttered those words. She genuinely looked concerned about my mate. Curiosity got the best of me. Who is she though? What is her relationship with my mate? Based on the circumstances, I believe they are close, but how close? Is she his girlfriend? fiancé? Or perhaps wife? My stomach dropped and boiling envy seeped through my veins at the thought. Possessiveness rears inside me. The urge to snap her neck was so strong and the fact November was trying to take control was not helping at all. She has been jumping up and down, getting impatient with each passing second .She just wants to have her way with her mate and claim her mark on him. "November stop it', I scolded my bratty, impatient Wolf. She snarled at me, threatening to hurt me before going back to throwing a dagger at the girl . I mentally rolled my eyes at her threat. Did she forget if I get hurt she gets hurt too? Ignoring my crazy wolf, I forcibly guzzled the indignation down my throat before I did something stupid. I didn't want to ruin my image and came out as a desperate and jealous type. Before my mate could answer, the woman's gaze drifted over to me. She furrowed her brows, giving an impression that she found something extraordinary. She looked back and forth between me and my mate.
