Jenny forced a smile and said, "Sarah, there's nothing for me to do if I go back. I was thinking of buying a birthday gift for Zoe as well, so why not let me come along?"
Sarah didn't bother to spare her a glance and shifted her gaze to Hugo instead.
"We're out on a date today. Do you really want to bring a third wheel along?"
There was a hint of dissatisfaction in her voice.
She had only come out with Hugo to generate some publicity by taking a few photos. If they were photographed as a group of three, the outside rumors would surely get out of control.
Sarah thought Hugo should understand this reasoning.
The smile on Jenny's face became a bit stiff. "Sarah, I just want to pick out some gifts with you along the way. Surely you wouldn't deny such a small request, would you?"
