Chapter 8

1808 Words
Dylan left the phone company earlier and drove to Rosie’s house, where she lived alone in her rented apartment. He could not wait to get into bed with her. He had already collected the food he ordered online, and he drove quickly to Rosie’s house, as he wanted to make love to her. ---- Rosie was in the living room of her rented apartment. Only four tenants lived in the building. It was a one-storey building, and she paced around the living room, thinking about how she would tell Dylan that she needed money from him. She waited for Dylan to arrive at her home. Rosie had called Dylan to know where he was, and he had told her that he was on his way to her house. Soon, Rosie heard the sound of a car honking behind her house gate. They had a security man guarding the gate, and he was familiar with Dylan’s face, even though he did not know who Dylan was. The security man pulled the gate open for Dylan, and Dylan drove his car into the compound and parked. Dylan stepped out of his car and walked up to Rosie’s house door while holding the nylon package containing the two takeaway meals he had ordered online from the best restaurant in their city. He approached Rosie’s door and rang the doorbell. Rosie swifty pulled the living-room door open and saw Dylan standing there in his black suit. She greeted him happily. “Welcome home, sweetheart.” Rosie hugged Dylan, and they kissed, before Dylan carried her up in his arms in a bridal style and walked with her into the living room. Rosie collected the nylon package from Dylan’s hand as soon as he walked into the living room with her in his arms. Dylan used his left leg to push the living-room door shut. He took Rosie straight to the couch and continued kissing her on the lips while holding her in his arms, before gently putting her down on the couch. Rosie responded to Dylan’s kisses and kissed him back. They exchanged kisses for a while until Dylan reached for her light blue gown to take it off her body. She was wearing a short, transparent gown, but she stopped his hand midway. She frowned and looked away from him. Dylan stopped kissing Rosie’s neck and asked her, “What’s wrong, babe?” Rosie gulped hard and told him in a hoarse voice, “I’m pregnant.” “What?” Dylan pulled away from Rosie. He looked at her face in disbelief at what she had just told him. His jaw clenched, and he stood up from the couch while still fully clothed in his black suit. Dylan asked Rosie, “How come? I mean, I thought we used protection.” Rosie frowned and stared back at Dylan. She replied, “It is possible that the condom broke when we were doing it roughly.” “Hmm.” Dylan raked his short black hair in frustration as he was still contemplating divorcing Jessica. He paced slowly around the living room and looked back at Rosie, before asking her, “So, what do we do now about the pregnancy?” Rosie looked at Dylan’s face in disbelief. She could see that he looked restless after hearing that she was pregnant. She had not expected the news of her pregnancy to make him look so devastated that he even lost interest in sleeping with her. Rosie stood up from the black couch and walked up to Dylan. “Calm down, babe. Is this why you’re looking so annoyed?” Dylan stopped pacing around Rosie’s apartment and looked at her face. “You don’t expect me to be angry about it?” “Why should you be angry, babe? I thought that you loved me and would be happy about the news of my pregnancy, Dylan. Mind you, we have been sleeping together since last month or so,” Rosie said. “s**t! No,” Dylan said, wanting to refute her. “Don’t tell me no, Dylan. I thought that you loved me very much. Or wait, what are you planning to have me do? Just know that this is my first pregnancy, and I cannot abort it,” Rosie said with a serious frown. Dylan looked at her face in confusion as he gulped back everything he wanted to say to her. Dylan replied, “I’m still confused about this pregnancy, Rosie. How did you get pregnant by me? I mean, I’m so sure the condom never broke.” “Stop saying all that, Dylan. Here is the medical test report if you want to see it. If you still want us to go to the hospital and have another test done, I will gladly follow you to any hospital of your choice now. Why are you angry that I’m pregnant by you, Dylan? So, you only want me as your mistress? Whenever you’re horny and need someone else aside from your wife to have s*x with, you come to my house and sleep with me however you want, right?” Rosie questioned Dylan. Dylan remained silent because he did not know what to reply. Truly, that was how he had wanted it. “Look, Dylan, I’m truly pregnant by you, and I’m not going to abort it. I’m serious,” Rosie said. She looked away from Dylan, and he did not know what to say to her next. Dylan placed both hands on his waist and stood there, staring at Rosie in confusion for a while as she sat back on the couch. Dylan had always been careful whenever he slept with Rosie. He had never made the mistake of sleeping with her without condoms. He ensured that he used the finest brand of condom he could buy, and he never accepted any of the condoms Rosie offered him. Rosie looked hungrily at the two meals Dylan had bought for her. She had not eaten and had been pacing around her living room since the afternoon, thinking about how she would scam Dylan out of the huge amount of money Frederick was requesting from her. Rosie loved Frederick very much, and she knew that even if she agreed to marry Dylan, she would only be his second choice in the eyes of his fans and the people in their city. They would not accept her, and some would even curse her for breaking another woman’s home and stealing another woman’s husband instead of going out to find her own husband. Rosie loved Frederick, and he knew about the secret cameras in her home. She had been the one to grant him access to install the cameras, and he had recorded her and Dylan whenever they made love. Frederick promised to edit Rosie's face out so that when he decided to post the videos for the fans to see how obsessed Dylan was with s*x, and how huge his s****l appetite was, it would ruin only Dylan’s image and not Rosie’s. Rosie stood up from the couch and walked over to Dylan, who stood in the living room, pinching the space between his brows. He touched his forehead and raked his short black hair as Rosie told him, “Babe, you need to calm down. I’m not cheating on you.” Dylan looked at Rosie’s face in disbelief, as he was still finding it difficult to believe that she was truly pregnant by him. Rosie wrapped her arms around Dylan’s waist. He was a tall man, and she could barely reach his shoulders. She hugged him tightly and faked her tears as she sobbed against his chest. “I’m also surprised to see the test result, Dylan. I know that you’re still on the verge of divorcing your wife, and I don’t want it to seem as though I’m eager to push you to divorce her. But I’m really not, Dylan. I know that if I had not left the city before, you wouldn’t be staring at me like this now, and this could have been our third child together as a couple, considering that you and Jessica already have two kids together. They could have been our kids, Dylan—just you and me, not you and Jessica.” Rosie cried harder against Dylan’s chest, and he calmed down and hugged her back. “It’s okay, babe. Stop crying. Hmm?” “No, Dylan. You just stared at me with rejection clearly written in your eyes, because of the product of our love. You stared at me and our unborn child as though we meant nothing to you.” Rosie moved away from Dylan’s embrace and stared away from him like an angry wife who needed comforting. Dylan sighed and walked back to Rosie. He hugged her around the waist from behind as he imagined taking her from behind too. “I’m so sorry, babe. Stop crying,” Dylan said as he pulled Rosie back to his chest and hugged her. He patted her back to stop her from crying, but Rosie cried even more while Dylan sighed and walked with her to the couch. Dylan sat on the couch first and placed Rosie on his thighs. He thought that it would not be a bad idea to take Rosie home to the house where he lived with Jessica. Besides, he wanted to divorce Jessica, and it would be easy for him to move on, as Rosie was expecting his third child, even though it was her first. “Dylan…” Rosie stopped crying and cuddled in his arms while sitting comfortably on his thighs like a child. “What is it, Rosie?” Dylan asked in his deep, masculine voice. “I’m hungry, Dylan. My baby and I want to eat,” Rosie said as she touched Dylan’s face and cupped his jawline, turning his face towards her. Dylan met Rosie’s large brown eyes and stared down at her thin lips, before looking away at the two takeaway meals he had ordered online and brought to her home. He told her, “Stand up first. Let me get them for you from the table.” Rosie stood up from Dylan’s thighs and gently touched his chest. “No, Dylan. You sit. Let me go and get the plate and spoon from the kitchen first so that you can feed me.” Dylan gulped and did not know what to say to Rosie. He sat back on the couch and watched her walk catwalk-style towards the kitchen. Seeing Rosie’s slim waist through the almost transparent light blue nightgown she was wearing, Dylan became aroused again. He had wanted Rosie before, and only the news of her pregnancy had caused him to lose interest. He waited for her to return from the kitchen.
