Quinn Barton was content with her seat in the social hierarchy at the elite Dupont Prep: not exactly on top, but high enough to get some respect. Too bad Carter Dupont, the undisputed king of the school, was keen on making her his new queen.

Hey guys! This here is the beginning of a series I wrote a couple years back for National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo) which is a month long sprint to write a fifty-thousand word novel. Because of this, they encourage you not to edit as you go, and pretty much hope for the best. Thus, what you are about to see has not been edited, and is presented in (pretty much) its original form. This may include a few typos, plot holes galore, and some true WTF moments. It's a rollercoaster of drama and teenage angst, and I hope you guys enjoy it for what it is: a fun but truly hot mess.
Also, this is a work of satire. It's over the top, dramatic to a point of eye rolling, and a play on all of those trashy teen series that we love to read and watch.
In addition to keeping in mind that this is a work of satire, this series was written from 2009 to 2011. References may be a little dated, and beauty standards were definitely different back then.
Hope you enjoy it!
P.S. For those of you wondering, all the chapter titles are lines from poems. The first book is the poem All That is Gold Does Not Glitter by JRR Tolkien. The second book is the poem On First Looking into Chapman's Homer by John Keats. The third book is the poem Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost.68
