OUTSKIRTS OF LONDON 1784
“Robin! Robin! Get back here you horrid little girl!” Nurse Philomena screamed as I ran down the field.
But I was not listening. I ignored her completely and ran down the field, far away from her.
“When you get back to the house you are going to be in so much trouble!” She yelled at me.
“Till you catch me then!” I answered her laughing.
I held my skirts in my hands so that I could run without trampling.
I had stolen some extra cake from the kitchen and skipped doing my work, that was why Nurse Philomena was running after after me.
At age twelve I was the biggest trouble maker in the pack house. The pack house was a home for young wolves and mere humans like me who had no parents. It was an Orphanage and it was funded by the Royal family.
We were left under the care of very mean house mistresses and house masters and other staffs like nurse Philomena.
I never listened to anything I was told to do and that always put me in big trouble and quite frankly I didn’t care.
It was me always caused the biggest havoc. I never listened to anything anyone told me. I constantly stuck my tongue out at people and I was always serving punishments.
“One day when I hit eighteen I would leave the pack house and never see either of your fat faces again in my life!” I shouted back at nurse Philomena and stuck my tongue at her as I ran.
As I ran, I ran right into someone and fell down on the floor.
“Oooof!” I said as I bumped myself into the large body and landed on the floor.
I screwed my face and looked up to see who it was. “Why don’t you look where you are going!”
Right before me was the most dashing man I had ever seen in my life.
He had beautiful sea green eyes and long black hair that was tied up in a ponytail. He was so handsome that I was lost for words. Never in my life had I seen someone so beautiful.
Then I felt someone grab my arm.
“Ha you thought I wasn’t going to catch up with you huh?! You are in big trouble.” Nurse Philomena snapped at me angrily as she grabbed my hand.
Then she looked up and gasped.
“Your Grace!” Nurse Philomena said and bowed her head at the young man before us.
Then Philomena forcefully pushed my head down so that I bowed.
“Forgive us your majesty.” Nurse Philomena apologised.
“It is fine. You may raise your heads now.” He said with a deeply masculine voice.
I rose my head before he even finished.
He was so handsome it seemed unreal.
I watched him climb back on his horse and I did not take my eyes off him. He looked at me and then he rode off.
Nurse Philomena pulled me along with her and smacked my head.
“Ouch.” I groaned.
“You are in so much big trouble young lady!” She told me with all joy at the pleasure of dealing with him.

ERIC‘S POV
Eric was about riding off on his horse when he felt a small body hit him.
He was an Alpha and then his senses went high pitched immediately. By the time he looked down, he saw it was a little blond girl. Probably within the age of eleven or twelve.
“Why don’t you look where you are going?” The girl snapped at him, her face screwed up.
He was amused.
It was she who had hit him and yet she was demanding to know why he was not looking so straight.
Before he could say anything.
A woman came to her side and grabbed her hand.
“Ha! You thought I wasn’t going to catch up with you huh?! You are in big trouble.” The woman said.
Then when then woman saw him, she gasped.
“Your grace!”
And then she bowed down and forced the girl to bow down too.
“Forgive is your majesty.” The woman apologised quickly.
He gave a light smile.
“It is fine. You may raise your heads.” He said.
But the little girls head was already up before he could even finish his sentence.
He looked at her in complete bewilderment. What sort of child was she? He was used to seeing children of her age to be very disobedient, after all that was the way it was supposed to be. Especially since she was a lady, but this one. He knew that this one was a wild one.
He noticed the woman and her dress and he understood that the woman was a nurse at a pack house.
That meant the girl was an Orphan. Whether she was human or wolf he could not tell.
Then he remembered that he had to be on his way and so he merely got on his horse. He looked at the little girl and then he rode off.
He rode on to his home. A very Lage castle like mansion that had been in his family for generations.
He was Eric. Son of the Late Duke of Hampshire. He was also the Alpha of Hampshire.
At age twenty, he had taken over his father’s responsibilities when his father had died.
And now he ruled over. He tried to be just to his people and protect them from enemies.
If there was one thing about him, he was powerful and he knew it. He was yet to meet someone who would match up to him.
Now aged twenty two, he was incredibly handsome. He was a sight for sore eyes. He had long black hair and Sea green eyes. He was not completely white as you could see his skin was olive due to his mother’s descent.
His mother had been a Spanish princess.
He was so handsome women gawked whenever he went by and men were always envious.
But he was married. He had married his first love, Cecilia who was the daughter of an Earl.
When he got back home, he walked into the house and found his wife knitting a pair of socks.
She was so beautiful despite how large she was with pregnancy.
“How is my beautiful wife?” He asked as he kissed her Auburn hair.
She laughed. “Beautiful? You mock me because I am heavy with child and bloated.”
“You could never be ugly.” He assured her.
She smiled and it was like the sun showed down on her.
“Oh go away.” She pushed him playfully. “So how was it?”
He became grim.
“Not so good but I don’t want you to worry about it.” He told her.
“Because I’m pregnant doesn’t mean I can not convey news.” She remarked.
She was asking about the meeting with the other Alphas. There had been a constant attack from an enemy pack and it was unusual because this time, they could not pick out who it was.
He was going to dismiss the conversation and then he remembered the girl from the pack house who had bumped into him.
“The strangest thing happened to me today.” He told his wife.
“Oh?” Cecilia said with the new interest.
“A little girl bumped into me. She was running and then she came right into me. She is a child from one of these pack houses.” He said. “But that was not it. Would you believe this girl screwed up her face at me and demanded why I don’t look my way when clearly it was her fault?”
Cecilia laughed so hard. “She did not apologise to you rather she was rude to you?”
“Yes.” Eric said still unable to believe it. “I’ve never had someone look up to me like that or act that way to me.”
Cecilia laughed. “Alpha Eric it would seem you have met your match. I wish I was there to have seen it myself. How old was she?”
“Perhaps eleven or twelve.” Eric shrugged.
“You were looked down by a little girl?” Cecilia asked and then she started laughing.
Eric rose up from his seat and then he grinned at his wife. “You mock me, we shall see how this ends.”
She continued laughing and then he went on his way.
He was so fulfilled with his life.
