Luckily for Lucy that she has already worn the glasses before the elevator opened. Her thoughts were frozen, she suddenly felt her heart racing.

“ What are you doing?"

“ Oh! Uhhhh…. " She stammered trying to figure out which direction she would go until Williams' assistant Henry interrupted them. Then she seized the opportunity to stay at the side of the elevator hiding her face.

“ Sir, your meeting for today has been cancelled, director Maurice got into Minor car accident.”

" He did? okay then."

“ Yes sir"

Williams was trying to see her face but Lucy cover her face with her hair.

" Well, aren't you going to press the floor button?

“ Oh, huh right? She said then she press the button.

“ Since the meeting has been cancelled, I might as well attend the testing event."

“Yes sir."

“ What? Why does he suddenly wants to attend the testing event?" She mummured to herself.

After Lucy close from work she went to chef Ethan restaurant to give him feed back on how the testing event went.

“Hey, your eye is getting worse, should I get you some medicine.” Ethan asked.

" No, don't worry, I have already taken some. I Will be fine.”Lucy answered.

" Alright, how did the testing event go, what did they say about it?”he asked.

" They really loved it. Trust me on this, leave it to me , chief Ethan.” she smiled.

" I give all my trust to you, oh great miss Lucy.” He teased bowing his head.

“ By the way, I totally forgot what your review was about? "

“ Review on what? She questioned.

" You went to the concert, but you have not given me a review yet. How was it, hope you have fun?”

" Hmmm yes I have fun.” she chimed with a grin.

" And I was here hoping you would go there with a date.”

" Yes, I actually go there with a date.”

His face instantly turns cold upon hearing the word date but still manages to respond. " Really? Who is he? He asked.

" Just a guy I know by chance.” she gushed.

" Well, you never told me you were seeing someone, do you even know the kind of person he is?” his eyebrows raised in disbelief.

" Yes, I guess so.”

" You are still naive when it comes to dating, bring him with you sometime. I will take a good look at him for you." He joked.

" Thanks Ethan, I can take care of myself, take care of your girlfriend. Instead of your friend who is a girl. And beside you two just came back together after breaking up. Pay more attention to her.” she sighed, mouthing a smile.

“Okay, I will."

“ Give me a minute I want to use the restroom room." She said and walk to the restroom

Meanwhile, Williams and his assistant Henry were on their way to the restaurant.

As Lucy came out from the restroom. She saw Williams and his assistant at the entrance walking into the restaurant.

" Wait, is that not the CEO? What is he doing here?” She murmured to herself as she quickly squatted. She crawled on the floor and managed to carry her bag and her phone from the table.

“Hello, Mr Williams, welcome, why didn't you mention you were coming?"

“After trying your food this afternoon, I wanted to try more of your food, so that's why I came."

“ I see. I'm very glad you came, then I will prepare something nice for you. Please have your seat. "

“ Lucy is here too." He said pointing at the spot she was sitting before but there was no trace of her.”

" That's strange, she was here a minute ago. Please have your seat. “

As they were talking Lucy took the opportunity to escape.

“OMG! Thank God, they didn't see me." She said putting her hands on her chest. Then she got a call from Ethan.

“ Hello, Lucy, where are you?”

" Hmmm well, my eye began to hurt me, so I'm going home to take my medication, we will talk tomorrow." She responded and ended the call without letting him reply.

“What's wrong with her?” Ethan muttered to himself.

Ethan served them the food he prepared. They began to eat.

“ So, how is the food?" He asked

“ It's good, now I understand what Miss Lucy said. She said your food somehow makes her happy and cheered up. I totally agree with her." Williams replied, nodding his head.

“ She is good at complementing my food." He smiled.

“ I heard you know each other from college.

" We first met when we were in our 20s, so we know each other for five years.

“ Having known each other for five years. You two have just been friends this whole time?”

" Pardon?”

" Ohhh. I apologize if that was too personal, I just assumed that it's possible for either of you to have developed feelings for the other in that long period of time.”

Ethan became speechless, his tongue tied. Not knowing what to say or how to reply to him.

" Please, Henry let's go. See you tomorrow chef Ethan.” Williams said and the both left.

On their way home, " Hey, sir. When you asked chef Ethan about his relationship with Miss Lucy, was it because of something you heard about her?” Henry questioned.

“What do you mean?"

“ I overheard some of the employees talking, and Miss Lucy used to have a crush on chef Ethan."

“ Is that so? It seems there's someone else just like her." Williams said.

Nora has got an apartment. And also bought some furniture for her room.

“ Ohh, I'm so tired, let me rest a little. Who would have thought moving to a new apartment would be this tough?”She said to herself as she laid down on the couch.

Oh this is life, and I'm completely broke after buying this couch. Maybe I should have bought a cheaper one instead? She said, rubbing the couch softly.

No, I'm good. This is in celebration of my true independence. It feels so good. I love it. Good job Nora. She muttered to herself, releasing an appreciative sigh.

“ ohh I'm starving. “ Rubbing her stomach. She suddenly hears the sound of an insect. She comes from the couch to check what it is and finds out it is a cockroach.

“ What? It's a cockroach. I hate cockroaches, I hate them so much oh my God. She screamed, jumping back to the couch.

However Henry seems to be passing by, then Nora runs out of her room and accidentally jumps on Henry.

“ Sorry, what good on"

“ There is a cockroach in my place. I don't mean to suddenly jump on you." She responded, her breath bursting in and out, without even looking at the person she jumped on when she finally turned her face, she found out that it was Henry Williams assistant. Then she quickly jumps down.

“ I'm sorry, wait, are you not Henry Williams' assistant?” She questioned.

" Yes, but Miss Nora, what are you doing here in this building?

“ Oh well, it's a long story, please may I ask you for a favour? She begged.

“ Sure"

" There's a cockroach in my place, please help me kill it. “ She pleaded, rubbing her hands together.

“ Okay, come and show me where it is. "

“ it is there. It is inside that container. Can you kill it? She said hiding at his back while pointing at it. She gave him insect spray.

“ Yeah."

Henry began to spray it around the container turning his face to the side.

" Is that really going to kill it if you spray around outside like that?” Narrowing her eyes, squinting.

“ Not sure. I guess it should work, that was a lot, do you have another can?"

" Wait, don't tell me you are scared of cockroaches, aren't you? She asked, laughing loudly

“ I'm not. It's more like they gross me out." He replied.

" That's the same thing as what I said.” She smirked.

“ Okay I'm going to finish it now."

Is he going to use the whole can? Nora muttered to herself.

“ Well, I flushed it down the toilet,so there's no need to worry now.”

" Thanks for helping me out." She said, smiling.

“ No, it's nothing. Goodbye.”

" Wait a second.”

" What?”

“ What are the odds that the two of us become neighbors? It looks like fate brought us together. So we should get to know each other.” Nora said as raise her hands trying to give him a handshake.

“ I'm very sorry, but I don't think that will ever work out.”

" What do you mean?

“ You put Mr Williams in a very sticky condition by sending somebody else to fill in for you on your blind date. So I don't think it would be right for me to know you personally. I'm sure you understand." He replied, and left without waiting for her to respond.

“ Wow. Did I really just get rejected as a neighbor? " She mummured to herself, as she clapped her hands, laugh

ing out loudly in disbelief.

As she was about to go back to her room when saw Williams coming to Henry's room. She quickly ran back to her room.

“ OMG! What is he doing here?"
