He wasn’t with the other guy, but he had a group of men behind him. Probably their underlings.
“Where are Flynn and the others?” I demanded.
"Oh, that dying hybrid and useless soldiers?” he asked back sarcastically. He grinned at me, showing off his yellow teeth. One looked like gold. “probably dying somewhere.”
The image of Carlos’ bleeding abdomen flashed in my mind. He was stabbed by the other guy, I don’t remember seeing him on the way here, based on my memory.
