I stepped back with one hand up in the air, the other, supporting Carlos. I never expected I would ever be in this situation. Being kidnaped by some strange mercenaries and had both of my comrades get injured. I never expected that I would have a gun pointed at me.
After I lost my mom, my dad made sure that I’ll be safe and away from this side of the world. The first seventeen years were not that great because of my lineage, but at least I was never forced to fight co-humans or even hybrids.
