Long ago, there was a story about the demon king that was widely known across the whole kingdom. Ages ago, when the monsters were still feral and most of them did not have intelligence, they were said to be ruled by a single king. No human ever saw this demon king in person. That’s why they had a hard time believing that he even existed.
He was said to only have one goal, and that was to bring destruction to humans and take over the kingdom for his own.
For unknown reasons, the demon king went into a deep slumber and the war between humans and monsters started to slowly dissipate, but it never stopped. Monsters then started to evolve into hybrids with intelligence and started approaching the human race peacefully.
