“Why’d you make my momma cry?!”
A small girl wearing pigtails and a cute yellow dress came running towards me with an angry face, the other kids followed behind her.
“Cynthia! That’s not right!” Mrs. Elena let go of my hands and wiped her tears. “I’m just happy that she’s here. I’m not crying because she hurt me!”
The little girl squinted at me in suspicion. Mrs. Elena went to her and said, “apologize now, how many times do I have to tell you that throwing things at other is not right and may hurt them?”
The kid lowered her gaze and crossed her arms. The other kids nudged at her and whispered things like ‘apologize’, ‘be kind’, ‘momma will get sad’
The kids sighed and walked towards me.
