Back in Middle School
The sun was high up in the sky and children were running around the playground just outside the school. The school grounds were covered in dried leaves,ves with all sorts of warm colors. Finally, Fall arrived, Eva's most favorite season.
“I’ll only count ten, okay? You better hide your bottoms cause I’ll make sure I’ll find all of you in just five minutes!” Irene challenged a group of kids and turned her back to face the brick wall.
“But I don’t want to play!” Kyros complained, “I want to go play ball with the others!”
Irene turned her head again and glared at Kyros. He felt a chill on his spine with those sharp eyes and a tiny squeak escaped from his lips.
“Alright,” he muttered, “I’ll play.”
