Chapter 9

1993 Words
Paris, France August 3, "The Story of Adele Hugo" officially entered the shooting stage, this art film is not only the investment cost is not considered a big production, even the shooting cycle is much shorter than commercial blockbusters - seventy days. The main reason for such a decision was to catch the last train to the Oscars. Wayne Brothers, who picked up the North American distribution, wanted the movie to be released at the end of the year, so naturally the entire crew needed to race against the clock. Of course, the seventy-day shooting cycle is in the case that Margaret's performance goes well, if she often NG, then I'm afraid the time will be extended indefinitely. Adele Hugo almost throughout the entire movie, even the male lead British Lieutenant Pinzon, and her number of shooting scenes can not be compared at all. Margaret, I'm afraid, had more shooting time than all of them put together. Although the leading role is not much, the phrase "Francois Truffaut's comeback" is enough to draw a crowd. Not to mention the French actors who were close by, as well as the West End theater actors who fit the British Lieutenant's setting, but even in Hollywood, there were a lot of actors who were good at the British accent who wanted to get the chance to play the role. Knowing that "The Story of Adele Hugo" has basically gained a ticket to the Oscars and Cesar's Film Festival, there's no chance of getting a Best Supporting Actor nomination if you're lucky, and whether or not you win will depend on the ability of the major publicists. That's right, supporting actor, Margaret Ajani is the deserving lead in this movie. The role of British Lieutenant Pinzon, on the other hand, ended up surprisingly going to Jude Law, who had not long turned to the movie world for development. The British actor made his debut in British theater, then starred in several stage productions in London and won the Olivier Award for Most Promising Newcomer in the UK. In 1995, Jude Law moved to Broadway in the United States, where he won the Tony Award for Best Supporting Actor and the Theater of the World Award before moving on to film. Next month, he stars in the movie "Wilde's Lover", which will be released, in which Jude Law plays a spoiled, arrogant and domineering aristocratic young man, Percy. Truffaut chose Jude Law to play Pinzon partly because of his handsome appearance and elegant demeanor, which is perfect for the role of the English officer who confuses Adele. On the other hand, it was his extraordinary acting talent. Though Jude Law has few opportunities on the big screen at the moment, these two things alone are enough for him to earn his place in the competitive world of male actors in the future. By the way, he also has an excellent British accent. The movie is set in France and the United States, and many scenes will be shot in Paris before Adele completes the perilously arduous journey from Europe to the New World. Truffaut's trust in Adjani's control of the role was almost deranged, and Truffaut, who always had total control over the production of a movie, allowed Marguerite to let loose with her self-perception of Adele and act out the tragedy to her heart's content. Truffaut confirmed that only Marguerite Adjani could give the movie its compelling power. It's a good thing his trust in Margot didn't end in disappointment. Truffaut sat behind the camera, looking at the brunette with the childlike innocence of a smile in the shot - Adele is smitten with British officer Pinzon, but it's not just Pinzon's poise, handsomeness and charm that attracts her, as well as the fact that, as a veteran of love affairs, he's extremely good at pleasing girls. What's more - Pinzon is of dubious background, addicted to gambling, and in financial trouble with almost no money. Such a man, disreputable by the upper classes, would obviously not be acceptable to Adele's father, Victor Hugo, and how nice to be able to use this as an expression of rebellion against her father, as well as to complete the tragic drama she has set for herself. It is a cruel game she plays with herself, and it is never love that Adele seeks, but rebellion against all the repressions of being a woman. Of course, Jude Law is charming enough as the British officer, with his chiseled body and deep eyes, and his Greek silhouette that is at once masculine, feminine and childlike. When he speaks in a silky voice with a charming British accent, you can't seem to think of any other word for this face than beautiful man. But even in the face of such a charming actor, the crew on the set, had a hard time taking their eyes off Ajani - She internalized her unique romantic temperament and looked so moving, with that complex and varied psychological profile and sense of proportion that is simply rare in the world. When this scene, in which Adele rejects a suitor who is a good match for her in favor of the British officer Pinzon, is over, it also represents an imminent transfer to North America for filming. The cast and crew of The Story of Adele Hugo were apparently incredibly mobile, and the entire group boarded a flight to Louisiana, USA, the very next day. Years ago, the Canadian government was the first to issue a tax rebate bill, and the traditional Hollywood movie industry, with Southern California as its home base, caused a major earthquake as a result of the passage of the Canadian tax rebate bill and its subsequent economic effects. While the federal and state legislatures were still debating the economic effects of the film industry's outward migration and the role of tax rebates and subsidies, Louisiana had the foresight to pass a bill related to film tax rebates in 1991, and within a few years, it had gained bright economic benefits and word-of-mouth effects. The cast and crew of "The Story of Adele Hugo" chose Louisiana not only because of the tax rebate bill, but also because it was once a French colony with many colonial cultural imprints. Halifax, the capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, which appears in the movie, was once a French colony, and Louisiana is obviously very suitable in terms of location. But the flight to Louisiana was less than comfortable, with business class unexpectedly sold out due to an overly tight booking schedule that coincided with a high-end group traveling to New Orleans. Not wanting to be delayed another day, the crew, scrambling for time, ended up choosing the sold-out business class flight. If the entire crew had traveled in first class, it would have clearly exceeded funding expectations. In the end, the entire cast and crew were seated in economy class, with the exception of director and screenwriter Truffaut and the producers, who traveled first class. In a way, the production accountants, who were in charge of managing and controlling the movie's funds, dared to stuff the male and female leads into economy class, apparently because the two were still basically newcomers and had little standing in the movie world. In economy class, the male and female leads, Margaret and Jude Law, were seated together. And sitting side by side across the aisle from Margo were her assistant and bodyguard. These two overly tall men looked a little too cramped sitting in economy class. Seriously, even business class wouldn't be able to accommodate their long legs, and they'd be better suited to a luxury private jet. So what's the point of being so tall? If Tony Stark had heard that, he would have strongly agreed. Speaking of that arms dealer, he hasn't called Margot much lately, but the actress who put her all into the movie clearly doesn't have much time for wild men. So Tony Stark had to focus his pursuit (and harassment) of Margo on designing the first anti-gravity thruster missile system. The results seem to be good, and it will be put into manufacturing soon. By the way, that Mr. Bruce-poor-will Wayne, seems to have made harassing phone calls to her as well. --Is it that easy to give away the phone number of a Hollywood actress? That charity dinner was Margo's only meeting with Wayne, but it seems to have left quite a dent in his fragile mind. And once again, when Wayne invites Margaret to renew her party with him, he gets a clear no. She took a direct ride in a bulletproof nanny car driven by the male model's assistant, dumping Wayne with a car butt, and car exhaust and dust. Joining him in the dust, of course, is Tony Stark, whose delusional dream of bringing the classic beauty back to Malibu Beach for a night on the town is dealt a devastating blow. The only point that made these two dudes more than satisfied was that Margaret and the shady, one-dimensional bimbo were just exchanging pleasantries and not getting anywhere in particular. As for Leonardo, he apparently currently has a girlfriend, a model and actress named Kristen Zanger. Eyes back on the flight, Margaret is not talking to Jude Law, the English Rose beside her, but is looking at her two male modeling staff, "How about we upgrade?" She was fine with that, but a long flight voyage of ten hours or so was not going to be kind to the long legs of these two gentlemen who couldn't stretch out. And first class was obviously a lot nicer. Of course, it's her who pays for the upgrade. But Margaret's offer was mercilessly refused-- Logan has a sharp gaze and looks like he's not to be messed with, but he's a great leader. He was frowning at the moment as he replied, "I've won hundreds of underground boxing championships, and I'm not going to have any discomfort over a small chair." On one side, Grant Ward was also very eager to show off his former combat successes - for example, he was a S.H.I.E.L.D. Level 7 agent who had completed countless thrilling missions. Even his real identity was a spy for Hydra into S.H.I.E.L.D. Isn't it very touching? But he obviously couldn't really say that, "Margot, the act of ascending tends to make the other creators think you're unhappy with the crew's arrangements, and there's no chance that rumors will circulate that you're a big shot right out of the gate." Margaret frowned at the two, "The tone you two just took sounded like my disciplinarian." The bodyguard and nanny, oh no, the assistant, had to keep their mouths shut for the time being in the face of their young and beautiful boss. And Jude Law, the English Rose, mistaking that Margaret was angry with the two crew members, spoke up to calm her down, "Margo, it's only a ten-hour flight, and you didn't even sprout a hint of resentment when you waited for hours outdoors in over a hundred degrees Fahrenheit heat due to lighting problems while filming a beach scene a few days ago." Marguerite looked at the handsome Englishman with a raised eyebrow, "That's professionalism as an actress, but in life I'm a willful and arrogant Frenchwoman." Before the words were out of her mouth, she had already gotten up and left her seat, leaving the crowd with only her charming back. When Margaret reappeared in the seat a few minutes later, she pointed first to Logan and Grant Ward, then to Jude Law, "Three gentlemen, please follow me to first class." She had a soft, pleasant voice, a hint of innocent childishness in her smile, and a touch of charming dominance in the way she spoke seriously. This woman with star-like eyes, and the sun would rise earlier just to witness her unrivaled grace.
