Chapter 36

Margaret's new movie, "Obsession," is set in West Germany, which suffered from a divided country during the Cold War. Director Andrei Zulaski doesn't explicitly mention the work of his leading man, Marc, though. But there are a number of details that suggest that the husband, who has been away from home for a long time, is most likely part of the West German state security or intelligence services. Andrei Zulaski's films have been banned by the Polish government for many reasons. This film, Obsession, is still in danger of being banned by the censors, both because of the film's strangeness and its subtle political implications. So Margaret's decision to come on board was actually a risky one. The movie was conceived in the '80s, before the reunification of East and West Germany. The paranoid Andrei Zulaski was unable to find a suitable actor for the film, and in the nineties he almost gave up on the movie for a number of reasons. Every day he was busy with stage plays and literary works. The controversial master filmmaker has always been the type of director feared by actors - the He liked to push his actors to perform in extreme situations, even saying that actors were ashes that the director needed to blow up and set on fire. In today's world of cinema, Andrei Zulaski is one of the very few filmmakers who are extremely demanding of their actors and are able to push them to their unknown potential. For the movie "Obsession" he needed an actress who combined extraordinary charisma with insane hysteria. So he met Ajani. And so, in 1998, eight years after the Berlin Wall was officially dismantled, this genre movie set in West Germany during the division of the Cold War finally meets a talented cast that is uniquely its own. The most expensive part of the movie's pre-production phase was the construction of a fake Berlin Wall on location in Paris. In June 1990, the GDR government officially dismantled the Berlin Wall. The Germans had a great deal of pleasure in bringing down the Berlin Wall, but the destruction was so complete that there is hardly any trace of its history today. The small section of the wall that remains in Berlin today is obviously not enough for the movie. By the time Margaret arrived in Paris in early October, the Wall props had already been successfully constructed, with the help of a German production company. The movie, Obsession, was eventually co-financed by two major French and German production companies. The subject matter of this movie is not destined to please the Oscars, so it would be better to seek a breakthrough in the European film industry. As for the male cast, the handsome and charming Ralph Fiennes was cast as Anna's husband, the lead actor Mark. The talented British actor earned an Oscar nomination in 1994 for his brilliant performance in Schindler's List. A few years ago, he won the Tony Award for Best Actor for the stage production of Hamlet, which shows his outstanding acting skills. In 1997, Ralph Fiennes was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor and a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his performance in The English Patient. But now, the charming Mr. Englishman is taking a bit of a hit because of The Avengers, which was released a few months ago. The $60 million action movie only managed to gross $20 million at the box office, costing the producer and the studio a fortune. Hollywood is a place where you can be catapulted to the top of the heap one day, and then ridiculed the next. Now that Ralph Fiennes has decided to star in Obsession, it's not a risky endeavor. But at the very least, his handsome and charming appearance does make him very suitable for the role of Mark. Ralph seems to have been born with an aristocratic temperament and a hint of gloom and brooding in that temperament. For a horror-themed drama, "Obsession" really does have enough beautiful male and female protagonists to be more beautiful than any of those Hollywood rom-coms that feature handsome men and beautiful women. The shooting of the movie went smoothly, with Ajani playing two roles in the movie. One is Helen, a blonde, blue-eyed, innocent and kind-hearted schoolteacher who prefers to wear white, and the other is Anna, a dark-haired, blue-eyed, paranoid and neurotic heroine who is a snake charmer. Ralph Fiennes, who plays the husband Mark, is quiet and handsome, with excellent comprehension, and is undoubtedly a genuine actor. With accurate body language and a good command of the plot, he gives an excellent performance in "Obsession". But in this movie, only Anna, the dark-haired, blue-eyed snake charmer, can give this quirky script its transcendent magic. She is seductive and seductive, like a spirit walking through the cold night of hell. In the shoot, Ajani portrayed Anna to the extreme. The whole crew was shocked by her interpretation of Anna, the gradual madness, the self-inflicted cut throat, the dedication to the devil's journey. Ajani's misty blue eyes, as if they contained a magical dream, were so shocking. When interviewed by the media, director Andrei Zulaski even said in his own words- "On this planet, only Ajani can star in 'Obsession'." Andrei Zulaski has always been known to be tough on his actors, and when this interview hit the papers, it once again created a buzz in the movie world. Many French people are now ready to bet 50 francs on Adjani to win the next César. And at that moment, Ajani was preparing to shoot one of the main scenes of the entire movie. It was late December and the weather in France was described as cold. The wind is cold and windy, but Margot has to wear a thin blue dress for this underpass scene. Assistant Grant Ward had warm blankets ready to wrap right around her when she finished filming this long scene. While on one side, the big-breasted sweetheart, the innocent-eyed Bucky and the bad-faced Logan had warm water and clean towels for her, respectively, having heard that she had to put up with trash and mud all over the floor for this shot. Andrei Zulaski sat behind the camera, having decided that this was going to be the best scene in the whole movie - the Anna, who is struggling desperately inside and nearly broken, walks out of the church and into the empty underground passage. She stumbled through the old, dilapidated underpass, a maniacal laugh escaping her lips as she screamed and slammed her head into the mottled gray wall. It was as if the evil power from the devil inside Anna was looking for an exit, as if it was going to rip her chest out and bore through it. She slammed everything in her hand against the wall, and in an instant, milk and egg splattered, all over her. But Anna didn't care at all as she wailed in unbearable agony, rolling and struggling in a quagmire of milk and egg liquid, a floor of garbage and mud underneath her. But even so, in such tortured circumstances, Ajani's beauty surprisingly remained unbroken. Her delicate face twisted in agony, she wailed and sat on the ground, convulsing, blood gushing between her legs, screaming hysterically with all her might. It's a long scene that lasts a full three minutes, and Ajani delivers a dazzling performance that ranks as one of the most insane performances in movie history. She simply exceeded the crowd's expectations-- Ajani completely merged her body and soul into one, madly and perfectly interpreting this hysterical and lurid long shot. Anna is mad and hideous, tumbling through the filthy, unholy mud in this frenzied picture of insanity or madness. But incredibly, this madness accentuates Ajani's soul-stirring beauty. Everything that can be called a good performance becomes mediocre and self-effacing in front of her. After "Obsession," the world will know-- Ajani's stunning and breathtaking performance. "Good!" praised Andrei Zulaski in an extremely high voice. Almost instantly, Margo was immediately surrounded by her troupe of male models. Her blue dress is covered in blood and mud, and big-breasted sweetheart Steven simply doesn't know how to wipe her off. Margaret wrapped the blanket around her, "Don't worry, I can go straight to the RV shower." Ajani's RV was being parked nearby and she got right into the shower room and washed for a while before stepping out. Sometimes, acting can be a crazy profession. At least today's scene was able to drive a compulsive cleanliness freak to death. As Margo scrubbed her long black hair and stepped out of the bathroom, she saw Bucky, who had big innocent blue eyes, serving her a cup of hot tea. "God, you're so sweet, Paris is so cold right now." Wrapped in a long warm white bathrobe, Margo sat on the couch with her hands clasped around her warm cup of tea. Not only was the caravan fully equipped, there was even Margot's favorite fruit between the soft sofas. Bucky, sitting across from Margo, had shaved his face clean, revealing a beautifully handsome baby face. But his aura was stoic and bleak, like he was still blinded by the darkness of an otherwise shining soul. Bucky spoke, "You were just now, your whole body tumbling through mud and dirty water, hideously agonized as if possessed by a demon." Just like will he was, all the bad encounters and dirty water drowned the man who was once Bucky Barnes, and in the midst of endless puddles of cold and mud and dirt, he became the infamous Winter Soldier who killed his best friend. Margaret's long hair was still a little wet, but she didn't blow dry it. Sitting across from Bucky, she took a sip of her warm black tea, "But you see, now that I'm no longer Anna, who was seduced by the Devil, it's just a hot bath, and I'm Margaret Ajani all over again." Bucky gazed at her delicate face, "Anna only exists in scripts, in real life you are a rare and good girl, not to mention carrying a blood debt." "This pretty gentleman, my life hasn't been as smooth as you think," Margo put down her teacup, "If fate has coldly discarded you in the midst of sewage, then you should try to regain your life and make fate bow down towards you, shouldn't you?" Bucky froze for a moment, seeing the classical beauty in front of him picking out satisfying fruit from the table and shoving it straight into his hand, "I've heard that Mr. Bucky Barnes, is a fine young man of good character and good manners." Droplets of water coalesced at the end of her long hair and, as she moved, landed on Bucky's wrist. The crystal droplets were a little cooler as they swirled around his pale skin. And the touch seemed to seep into his heart, toppling through the ice cast by the cold pools and mud and tenaciously injecting a glimmer of white light. Bucky subconsciously looked into the palm of his hand - A beautiful, purplish-red plum. Bucky's handsome, pretty face wore a smirk and his voice was soft and polite, "I like it."
