The ride back gone was awkward , I was leaving with Ava and she wasn’t even looking at me .

Ava personally decided to sit at the passenger seat while I sat at the back .

Since I was staying with them since my mom didn’t want me to be alone and said it was okay I stayed with my best friend for the time being .

The car pulled up at their family hours. It was a big house with the flowers and trees around , but had that cute aesthetic that gave this natural look , her parties were lovers of nature .

Once the car stopped , I rushed out before she could and before she could move an inch away from me , I grabbed her hands and pulled her back to me .

“I’m sorry , I acted recklessly and acted on my impulse but I didn’t mean it , it just happened , so please talk to me. I begged her desperately as I held her hands, rubbing them softly .

Ava just stared at me for a whine and then let out a deep breath , once that she had been holding for that long .

“ You are such a slut Nora , your father was being buried and all you can think of is being in the arms of the man that dumped your ass two years ago .

Ava didn’t wait for me to say another word but she walked into the house leaving me behind .

I could see the shocked look on her mothers face when she saw us yelling at each other , this was the first time they would see us like this and I don’t blame them though.

I’m fine mom , I will just go freshen up now “ I replied, turning to face her with a smile then took off to the house .

It was Maeto's voice , his voice had a hint of anger and mockery in them , I could feel from the way he spoke to me .

Ignoring his selfish remarks , I tried on the shelves in my brother's library and began to go through every detail .

There must be something that connected to his death and I must get to the root of it .

Going through your brother's stuff isn’t going to give you what you are looking for. I don’t know what the problem is with you, Vinz. but don’t think that you can just drag her into this life .
