Dragol´s pov
More birds have arrived to the forest. Telling me that the winter are starting to end. And I could feel the start of the season change happening. I have started with the plants for the garden and fields. Just a few. With a few, I mean about a hundred pots worth. I asked Jacob about seeds. Rigth after he asked me what I wanted for seeds. So now I have a great start, for the farm. Atleast with veggies. In my cellar I have worked this past week. To my help I had Lianna and her kids. Mostly her oldest, Roland. He helped with filling the 2 inch pots, with soil. The Girls Mira and Mari had more fun playing with the soil. Their mother cared more about that, than I did. It is just good for children to be exposed to so much as possible from a young age. In each pot did I and Lianna put down four seeds. For each kind of vegetable we planted, we used maybe 10 pots. If all of the seeds sprouts to seedlings, I will have 40 plants of each vegetable. It is a good amount. It will produce enough for me to use and trade with. What I have planted? OOoooo you would want to know that?! Tell you, I will. There were tomato, yellow and red, big and cherry, zucchini, cucumber 2 kinds ( 1 for conserving and 1 for fresh eating.) bellpepper, chili, pumpkin both muscat and butternut. These are just a few of the kinds I have preplanted.
At the moment I stand on my porch. And I have a small smile on my lips. My smile are from the news that Jacob had come with around noon today. The news were for Lianna. She is so happy. She is still inside crying happy tears. The woman that are in the family room right now, have come a long way since I saved her. The same goes for the kids. The Boy has opened up more. But I think it is thanks to Hanna and her brothers. Every weekend they have come over to play. Having a great snowball fight. Hanna and Roland against her brothers. To tell the truth, it was her brothers that won those wars. But still they had so much fun together, so they didn´t care. The news that was given to Lianna, was a great one. I am glad for her sake. I am really. But it will be empty here, without them. Lianna and her kids have been accepted in to the pack, by voting of the elders. They were against it a long time. But they have been by here to talk to her. To get to know her story from her. And I know she told them more than she has ever done to me. 1 disadvantage I have, from my act of being human. Wolfs will try to hide most of theirselves and thoughts, from me. Jacob has even fixed a small apartment for her in town. These news were the last thing Lianna had thought of happening, to her. What I have been told and heard, mostly heard, she has been on the run since the day her daughters were born. Their birth gave her the streangth to flee. I turn around on my heel. And walk in thru the door. When I looked to the sofa I knew she was on, she was not there. I turned my head to the kitchen. In their she stood. She is wearing white socks, black slimfitted jeans and a white sweater. They are not fully in her size. Atleast they are more fitting than my clothes. She would have not been able to wear my pants at all. I can see that she has not finished crying, yet. becouse her shoulders movements. And by the scents that I smell, I know she has started with a late lunch. I walk up to her. Smiling I help her lift down a form, ovenable.
"Thanks." she said with a shaken voice.
I butter the form. "Lianna, I am happy for you." I see how her cheeks get a redder tone. "It will be empty here without you and the kids." I feel honesty is the best.
"We will miss you as well, Dragol." She sob out. One movement from her, she has turned against me. "You have helped us so much." A tear glide down her cheek. "I don´t think we can even repay you at all."
I chuckle at the sincerity in her voice and eyes. "I did what I could, Lianna." I finished loading the form with 2 whole chickens and veggies. I turn my face to her. "I don´t wan" My sentence broken, by a small and tender kiss from her on my lips. "t be repayed."
"I knew you would say that!" she said as she put out her tounge. That small gesture made her younger, allmost like a child.
I rose up and shook my head. "Why did you kiss?"
"Wanted to repay you." She said, her voice were so happy.
I chuckle at her again. "You have fully recovered allright." She gave me a big smile. "You are nothing like the fragile woman I found in the snow," I put my hand on her hair and ruffled her hair. "You have grown so strong and healthy." Her cheeks got more redish in color. I like to get that responce from her.
"Thanks." she stammered out.
We waited for the meal to be done. She walked up to get her kids. Myself sat down in my armchair. It is the same I always sit in. From that one, I have a full sight to the stairs and the small hallway to the front door. It will be lonely, without them. But I have lived my life alone, a long time. So it will be fine. I hear her come down the stairs. Roland walks infront of her. The girls she hold in her arms. When she stand at the base of the stairs, she let her daughters down. They walk around the familyroom. And I know they will start to play with the toys Mirai and Sa´hara had got them. So they did. Even Roland played with his babysisters. Its a happy sight for sore eyes. Lianna sat down on the sofa, with folded legs under her. Softly was she leaning on the armrest. I hope that the all mother have planned a second chance mate for her.
"Lianna." I say, my voice filled with delight and happiness. "So when comes Jacob and get you."
She looked up from the playing kids. Her eyes were big as saucers. "You heard?"
"I didn´t listen in." I lied as the moon are out on the day. "Jacob had told me that he had got you a apartment."
She let out a sigh en relief. "Yea, he has done that for me." She had a small smile on her lips. "Even the town councile has voted to accept me as one of them all." It was one way to tell it, I thought.
Soon enough the food was done. We ate under a relaxing silence. When we had eaten, I made the dishes. And cleaned up the kitchen. In the meanwhile had Lianna started to pack her family´s few belongings. And we both were done at the same time. Together we concluded that we should go out a moment. We ready the kids. I coould not hinder my laughter, as many other times. In their thick winter clothes, they looked like snowmen. round and puffy. Well outside, we just walked around my farm. She asked a few things and I answered her. Sooner than I thought the sun started to settle. We had been outside for a few hours at least. We stripped the kids out of their outerclothes. As I was hanging up their jackets and pants, she got them in to bed. She returned down 30 minutes later. Untill we too, walked to bed, we sat and talked. She was ready for getting a place to call her home, but nervous.
