Dragol´s pov.
The air is filled with the scent of food, that are cooking. This pack has made me happy, confused and feeling welcomed, this day. I sit on one of the chairs the pack has taken to my farm, just for this feast. Yes, my farm. After the winter I will start the farming. The love herb, I have already planted in the ground. I would really grieve if it doesn´t take root. As I take up the big beer bottle, to my lips, my thoughts wander to the cabin that are behind me.
---------
four hours ago.
The wolfs opened a passage. So I and Jacob could walk to the cabin. I am chocked. Really am. Both that this pack got together to rebuild the house. Not just the house. But the stable and barn too. And I am chocked over that I didn´t smell or hear them at all. OR the clear and strong smell of new wood, stone and tar. I guess the smell of tar is old and stale. But for me it is as clear as day. The porch is the first thing I see. The railing is nicely done. The posts are carved. A delicate work, to do. I know this well. Slow I take my first step on the low and wide staircase. In the back of my brain, remembering how the last step broke under me last time I did this. But it hold this time. I look closer at the carved post to my right. Wolfs and a full moon are carved in to the wood. Thru the corner of my eye I gave Jacob a glanze. Liking what I have seen so long, I walked up to the door. Infront of the door I stopped. The sight making me almost laugh laudly. The thing that are in the wall is not a door, it is more lika a small gate. I know it is a door. But it is made for me. To get inside the house, I am not needing to duck down. Another thing I know, I turn to Jacob. "This must hav cost a lot."
He give me a smile and nods. "Yes, it did." Jacob looks so bloody proud of this. "All of the doors and windows in this cabin are custome made." He slap my arm, jokingly. "With you in our thoughts"
"Thanks, friend." I said as I opened the door. The door glides open on silent hinges. The sight that greet me, is baffling. The walls of the hallway seem to be clad in dark wood. Creating a great contrast to the lighter wood deeper inside. Slow I step inside. Have they used real wood or wallpaper. I reach out my hand, to touch the wall. The feeling I get, is making my lips curl upwards. I am baffled and happy that they have used real wood. And I would never have thought about to use this wood for cladding. The wood can not be anyother than walnut. I give a glanze to the inner roof and floor. The roof is natural pine wood. Grey granite is covering the floors. I walk deeper inside the cabin. As I realize this place are mine, my body start to relax. The kitchen are conjoined with the family room, just as I had planned. But how they had made the plans, they had done it differently. But I like it. As they had two chimneys, instead from the one the orginal building had. This made it possible to have a heating and comfy fire in the family room without that the heat will be spread in the kitchen. The sofa and launge chairs is great together with the heavy marble table, that are set inbetween them. Even small sidetables with marble tops are standing beside the heavy furnitures. I like the simplicity of it all. Still in a daze from the first expressions the cabin had given me, I stepped inside the kitchen. Even here they have outdone it. The countertops are in green scandinavian marble. It´s fine texture is great with the white cabinets and drawers. The fronts on those are in oil finished oak. I am sure it is oak.
"Dragol." Jacob said behind me. I didn´t turn to face him. Just continued to look at the fine kitchen. "What do you say about the first floor?" He asked me with a smile, in his voice.
I took in the sight once more. Two walls had over head cabinets. "I like this." Those words seemed to ring in the room. Two and half walls had countertops. I stepped inside the kitchen. I had to drink some water. Up to the sink, I walked. The tap are hanging a great distance from the bottom of the sink. I leaned down as I turned the tap on. Slowly the water came out. I let the water hit my mouth. I felt how it got coler by the minute. "This place have its own well?" I asked looking at Jacob. Who anwered me with a nod. As I stood up again, I saw a door in the corner of the kritchen. "What is that door leading to?"
"Your new and improved cellar." Jacob said smiling.
I gave him a small smile. And then walked down to the cellar. He must have built out the house. Becouse I don´t think it was so big from the begining. It was not much to see down there. Of what I saw, made me smile big and bright. They had done custommade shelves down there. Nervously I walked to one of the doors that were left on the first floor. I think I have not felt this nervous since I and my late wife waited our first born. Long time coming, right. With a shake of my head, I let the door glide open. Inside I see the bath. It must be biger than before. And I realize it is, just as I stepped inside. The tube is big enough for me to put my whole body under the water. Just the thought of getting a true and great cleaning, make me shiver slightly. Shaking my head I left the bath. I need to check the rest of the house. The second floor, had hardwood flooring. Pine wood clad roofings. For last I took the main chamber, the so called master bedroom. The two guest rooms, had light walls clad in birchwood. Even they were fully furnished. And that make me glad and happy. My knees would have shaked in excitment, when I streatched out my hand. My fingers giperd the smooth brass handle. All doors have glide open, on silented hinges. In the center of the room are a kingsize. Its huge, really huge. I measure the bed in my head. But before I even get to the point, a womans voice comes out. "It is a 7 by 10 feet big." I turn around to see Mirai standing, beside Jacob. "It was a great job and deed to find anyone that could supply us with a bed, that could match you,"
I bow my head, to give my thanks and approwment. "This are almost to much."
I check out the rest of the room. The walls are lined with four different kinds of wood. I would guess birch, oak, pine and ash. To my eyes I can see some inlays of Walnut in the wood. Not knowing what I will see, when I open the ensuit and walking closet. But to my surprise they are the same size they were before. But nicer built. As I returned out of the walking closet, I saw that something was written out of Walnut, in the wall that the door is in. I read it over and over again. Making my bones rattle. And my mind turn blank. "Who made that text?!" I said, as I was pointing to the wall. The alpha couple both came inside the room. They gave me a played chock. "Your daughter?! Am I right?
They nod as they take in the text. The text is writtten in Latin, Earn natus est. Nam arma nati sumus. Ut custodias nascimur. Et permanet. The meaning is old and stands in my heart as a arrow head thru the flesh. And it is, Born to serve. For war we are born. To guards we are born. And remains.

Back to now.
The feast has just started. As the she-wolfs are bringing out food articles in the thousands. Even drinks are there in a great overflow. But there is all from soft and fizzy drinks, to hevy and strong bourbon and whiskey. I put down my now empty bottle and grips another from the closest table to me. Many of the wolfs have stepped up to me to thank me and give their sympathy. I just nod and smile at them. Not before midnight the feast was over. Under the time, we all ate, drank and laughed greatly. Some stories were told, too. Thinking about it all now, it was great. And for the most part relaxing, Wolfs were howling in laughter. trying their best to not get their secrets out, for all of the world to see.
