Morning sunlight filtered into Bloom's bedroom, casting a warm glow over the bright pink walls and matching bedspread. Waking up to the new day, she let out a long yawn, stretching her arms above her head. As she shook off the last remnants of sleep, a determined thought crossed her mind. *Today is the day I follow my plan for my top secret,* she told herself, psyching up for what she had internally dubbed "mission confess."
Before she could dwell on her plan any longer, a gentle knock echoed from the door. *I wonder who that could be?* she thought.
"Come in," Bloom called out.
The door pushed open to reveal her younger sister, Lily. "Big sister, let's go and play in the garden," Lily requested eagerly.
Bloom hesitated for a moment, weighing her grand plans against her sister's bright expression. *Maybe I can hold off my love mission for now, that is,* she reasoned silently. "Yeah, sure thing, Lily, but let me change first."
Slipping out of her pajamas and dressing for the day, she turned back to her sister. "Let's go to the garden now."
"Yeah, come on Bloom, let's go and play outside," Lily agreed, leading the way.
Stepping out into the garden, they were greeted by a lush, vibrant expanse of neatly trimmed bushes and blooming red and pink flowers arranged in beautiful circular beds. Bloom took a deep breath of the fresh air, taking in the scenery. "It's been a long time since I've been out here."
"I know, right, sis?" Lily agreed.
Bloom looked over at her younger sister, admiring her pale blue dress. "Wow, sis, you look da... zz... ling. Dazzling!" she finally managed, pleased with finding the right word. "Yeah, that's the word."
Lily smiled sweetly. "Thanks, sis, but you look gorgeous as ever, you know."
"Thanks," Bloom replied, smoothing down the soft, frilly fabric of her own tan dress.
However, as they stood together in the peaceful garden, Bloom's mind began to wander, pulling her away from the beautiful morning. *Why can't I stop thinking about him?* she agonized internally. *I know I love him, but I can't get him out of my head.*
Her sudden quietness didn't go unnoticed. Lily furrowed her brow, stepping closer. "Sister, what's wrong? Are you feeling okay?"
Startled back to reality, Bloom quickly forced a bright smile onto her face. "I'm great, so don't worry."
Lily didn't look entirely convinced. "Yeah, okay... but I still..." she trailed off.
"Still what, Lily?" Bloom asked, her forced smile faltering slightly.
"I still worry about you. You seem so depressed and sad usually," Lily confessed, her voice laced with genuine concern. "Like, just about a month ago you started acting really strange."
Guilt flashed across Bloom's face. "Uh, I did... I'm so, so sorry if I acted a bit weird." She offered her sister an apologetic look, but inside, her thoughts were already drifting back to the one person she couldn't escape. *I just couldn't stop thinking about him... TYLER.*
