Chapter 37Abu pressed the power button on his phone, stuffed it into his pocket, and started the four hundred foot walk to the bus stop. It was afternoon, not late enough to attract large crowds, but the stop still had several people waiting for their next ride. His face hadn’t spread throughout the media yet as far as he knew but it was only a matter of time. In his car, Abu could make the trip to downtown Chicago in ten or fifteen minutes, but public transportation would take over an hour with many different passengers and countless stops, each one a new opportunity for some do-gooder with a smart phone to match his face to a news bulletin.
