Chapter 46Riley’s phone buzzed in his pocket, he pulled it out to find a text message from Wayne. “Got something.” He returned his phone, stood up, and headed for the door. “I’m going to need a flight to Atlanta for tonight, also a rental car and an address where I can find Zoe Morgenthal.”
The Human Resources rep returned to typing. “Yeah, I’ll get right on that.” Human Resources usually worked bankers’ hours. It was approaching quitting time, and Riley could hear a hint of sarcasm in the rep’s voice. He stopped, stood in the doorway, and turned back to look at the rep.
“I’ll be back at five to, have it all ready for me.”
“Uh huh.”
“Hey! Have it ready!”
