Chapter 66Haley had gotten pretty fatigued and needed to rest, so Sophie elected to head back to the office and keep working on cracking the external hard drive that Sheppard had given her. It was proving to be surprisingly difficult. She could tell that the encryption protocol was 4096-bit RSA algorithm, but without the encryption key, it would probably take her months to crack it with a brute force attack, even with access to the FBI super computer. Her usual methods of password cracking had failed to break through, so she had booked time in one of the interrogation rooms and sourced some high-end audio gear to run a side channel acoustic attack.
