Chapter 8: Unexpected Visitors

As I sat in the car watching Eli and Jess walking up the door and ring the doorbell I rolled the window down so I could hear what was going on. I saw Jake open the door and he let Jess inside while he stepped outside to talk to Eli. Jake managed to utter, his voice filled with equal parts confusion and astonishment. "What are you doing here?" As Eli's gaze shifted, his eyes avoiding direct contact with Jake. "I heard about you and Kaleb being together at the party and leaving the party together," as he murmured, "I had to see for myself, to understand why I let you slip away." Jake stood there with a bit of sympathy for Eli, remembering the pain he had felt when their relationship had ended. But he couldn't deny the connection he now shared with Kaleb, the love that had been rekindled. Still, uncertainty clouded his mind as he stood face-to-face with his ex-boyfriend.

Just then Kaleb emerged from the bedroom and stepped outside to join the conversation, sensing the tension in the air. He wrapped his arm around Jake, a solid pillar of support amidst the brewing storm. "Is everything okay?" Kaleb asked,

Jake's gaze shifted between Eli and Kaleb, the weight of the moment heavy upon him. "Eli and I have a history," he explained, his voice tinged with both nostalgia and remorse. "But my heart belongs to you now, Kaleb." As Kaleb said half jealous “oh this is your ex-boyfriend Eli”. Eli's eyes filled with a mix of sadness and understanding as he took in Jake's words. With a heavy heart, Eli bid his farewell, as he "Take care of each other," eli whispered, his words a final plea. "Cherish the love you've found, for it's a rare and beautiful thing." As he walked away, Jake and Kaleb stood united, their bond stronger than ever before. They faced the unexpected intrusion with grace and determination, knowing that their love had stood this test and would continue to do so. Next thing you know Jake gave Kaleb a kiss as they headed back inside as I got out of my car I hear voices out back so me being nosey I tip toe to the fence and theirs a hole that dad hadn't fixed yet so I can peek and see who is back their and listen in. To my surprise it was Jess and Missi talking in the backyard could see Missi's face and Jess hard her back yard me so I couldn't see her. However I did hear Jess say "I found out a couple of weeks ago that Darrel didnt just have one girlfriend on the side he had two you and a girl named Teri. I am his wife Jess which is short for Jessica” Jess pulled out a paper as she said I brought proof juat in case you didnt believe me as I saw Missi's face change from being confused to sad and hurt as the ring on her finger turned from purple to orange as tears started coming down her face when her ring got a bit of medium green which orange is sad and medium green means guilt. Than Missi had a confession as she told Jess that “i hope he would choose me over Teri but after the party and even more now after learning that Darrel has a wife i felt differently for him.” As Missi continued on to tell Jess “at the party something just clicked. For the first time, I saw Darrel for who he truly was. I realized that I didn't want to be a part of his lies anymore." When Jess heard Missi say this she felt a strange mix of relief and disappointment wash over her. On one hand, she was relieved that Missi had come to her senses and seen through Darrel's facade. But on the other hand, she couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness, realizing that the man she had once loved was nothing more than a deceitful cheat. Just then Teri came from inside the house and sat down with Missi and Jean. As Teri sat down she said "He spun a web of lies, painting each of us as villains in his twisted story." And Jess said He played us all, and for what? His own selfish desires?" Just then Missi said . "We're all here together because we refuse to let him get away with it. We won't be his victims any longer. I say we should warn others, to make sure no one else falls into his trap. We should expose him for the deceitful man he truly is." And thats when the three of them decide they would make we a plan to confront Darrel together but they new they needed to gather evidence of his deceitful behavior and they Didn't just want evidence they wanted to do this together and that's when it clicked they were not the first females Darrrl had don't his to. Now they were in search of more females Darrel had been in contact with and that he had done this too as well. So they made a few phome calls and sent soem messages and a few other girls showed up and well Missi had texted her sister kali to come Help them instead of easdroping behind the fence so Kali came to help them out the best she could. As they huddled together, pouring over messages and photographs, their sadness began to transform into a fierce determination. With every piece of evidence they uncovered, they knew they were one step closer to finally breaking free from Darrel's grip. as soon as 4 a m rolled around the girls desideD to call it a night and get some rest become tomorrow they were all going to confront Darrel at his and Jess's house. The plan was Jess would text them to come over and while Darrel was getting ready for the day the girls would come over and all be waiting for him in the living room when he comes out of the bedroom. One by one the girls left as Missi and Kali headed for theirs rooms one thing had come to Missi mind Kali was listening at the fence so how long was she their before they got to their rooms Missi got the courage to ask her sister how long had you been listening at the gait as Kali responded “missi I heard the whole Jake, Kaleb, and Eli on the front porch and I heard you, Jess And Teri out back the while enchilada” as Missi told her sister you could have just joined us you know toy didn't have to listen at the fence And wait Eli was here tonight?
