Connor’s POV The forest was silent, but I could hear them. Their laughter, the clinking of bottles, the murmurs of those who believed they had won. Idiots. I raised a hand, signaling my warriors, and we moved forward in complete silence, surrounding the small clearing where the young rogues were celebrating their so-called “victory.” Their tracks were everywhere. They had run without caution, leaving a clear path for us to follow. Broken branches, disturbed earth, the lingering scent of their adrenaline still thick in the air.
