Lena´s POV The first breath was pure fire in my throat. I coughed, choking, as my mind clawed its way out of the darkness. Everything was blurry. My body ached. Something cold and sharp bit into my wrists. Silver. My arms were stretched above my head, separated, strained by the pressure of thick chains. I tried to move, but the searing pain wrenched a gasp from my lips. My shoulders burned, as if someone had torn them apart from the inside. I tried to take a deep breath, but every inhale was punishment. The air was thick, contaminated. There was a strong, metallic scent. Blood. Not mine. The stench clung to every corner of the cell.
