I cannot believe how fast time flies. It’s been another week in a bit since we’ve said goodbye to Patrick. After that night, I came back to the cabin to find his body gone and Jasper waiting for me. He embraced me and has been by my side ever since. As a pack, we gathered together to burn Patrick’s body; we said our final farewell. I kept my promise to Patrick and spread his ashes at both the lake and at our clearing. Every time I pass by the lake or take a moment at our clearing, I can feel him there with me and it brings me comfort.
