“Morning, Alpha Nat.”
“Hey Alex,” I finish off the apple and throw it in the compost bin next to the clinic, “what brings you here this early?”
“I decided to help my parents out. Turns out my dad needed it with Ivy going berserk…again.”
I sigh and shake my head with frustration. “How are the nurses doing?”
Alex shrugs, “As well as they can be, I guess. We’re keeping them away from Ivy’s room. One of the interns is not being trained on the desk and another is doing inventory with my mom, so that should keep them busy and distracted from what happened.”
I nod my head, “Good.”
We walk inside the clinic, and I see a short girl with a pixie-like face sitting at the desk with Helen peering over her. Helen is a full-time nurseeceptionist at the clinic, so she knows her way around the admin
