“WHAT?!” I growl at Alex; I’m sure he can feel not only my anger but Pearl’s as well. “I wasn’t even aware she was discharged!”
“Well, she is, and she’s at Jasper’s side while he’s running training.”
I feel so many emotions go through me: hurt, confusion, betrayal and boiling rage. I can feel Peter sense my changing mood, and I am only noticing now that he is sitting next to me. He tentatively places his hand on my shoulder.

I can tell he’s worried about me, and I can feel other pack members staring at me with worry.
